The text from today's Penny Arcade included a line that I thought you might like.

"Valve ultimately realized that people would purchase more hats if they gave the heads away for free"

It's need. I appreciated the Blizzard bashing more. As a person who shelled out $60 I think it's dumb how hard they try to encourage their playerbase to invest even more money into the product. I'm over the Error 37 complaints, it's the gameplay tweaks, nerfs, and "patches" they've made. It's not even that the changes, singularly, are that terrible, but that when you see them as whole it's very obvious they are building a giant waterslide that feeds money into their pockets and they don't really care how much fun anyone is having playing the game.

I got multiple 60's well into Inferno and then just quit. I don't feel any need to go back to it. It's nice to know that someday, when I feel like it, my characters will still be there for me to go back to but in the meantime I think I'm done with it for at least the next couple months.

Anywho, I can't wait to see how the PA guys get into MWO. Jerry had a pretty serious Mechwarrior Clix habit and has flirted around with the tabletop game. I know Mike has at least played the XBox games and loves anything with big, kick *** robots in it.

I was vaguely surprised not to see a mention of MWO on PA recently, especially on or after founders day launch.
