Like the title sais.
Pls try to not even start crying about this. We have CW now and we all see what's happening.
We all have shiny mechs and we should use every single one of them.
Bringing on 3 SCRs and 1 TBR doesn't have so much variety.

Just consider to make CW 12/12/12/12, like you first planed and concerns like "please increse drop limit to >240t" will be gone.
Ok, we'll have other concerns, but who cares.
At least we'll have usage for more mechs in our bay, like it should be.

We all payed for this mechs and some of them are useless.
Just do something to make those useless mechs viable again. Not only by quirking this and fixing that.
You think, forcing someone to choose a light for his deck is unfair? You say "I don't have any light and forcing me to buy one is unfair!"?
Well, what about those, who take one battlemech of every class to the battlefield are getting f***ed up by the same mechs again and again? If this doesn't change, we are forced to buy the most effective mechs we probably don't own. Shall we pay more for Shawk and Tbolt chassis instead of you paying less for one or two light chassis? Because that's what I call unfair.

So please, PGI, just ignore the crying front just for ONE TIME and force them to play a more diversified game.

Thanks.

I like the idea but I'd like to see the tonnage limit stay so that the lighter mechs of each weight class (locust) still have a place in the game.

My specialty is light mechs. If I'm forced to bring a heavy and an assault in my dropdeck, that's a waste of my talents because I can't pilot them as effectively.

No. Tonnage limit is fine. Even better if it varied for every planet. Wanna take a district capital? 340 ton drop limit. Minor planet with little significance? 220 ton.

As for CW, this is just the beginning of the end of the beginning...

For now you want to keep everything in a tight margin, as that is a lot easier to debug the code. This code is experiemental, and if you make too many changes, too quickly, it is very easy to lose control over the whole process - and lose the company.

Better to get this stuff up and running smoothly first - and then introduce enhancements slowly over time.

We could run down the hill and catch a couple of cows,

Or we could walk down the hill, and catch them all.

I like this idea, with the caveat that I can prebuild decks of the appropriate weight class, and put the same mech in more than one deck. It'd already be nice to get this functionality for defense/offense setups.
