I have experienced multiple Slot Violation errors. I got my modules back by Stripping my mchs of all mudules using the Strip function. It put my missing modules back into inventory... You might want to try that and see if it helps.

I strongly detest individuals who can't Google an issue before ranting on it...
This issue and fix has been around since they reassigned the module system... months and monthsee ago

It was weird since the program stripped my mech on its own. But trying your suggestion worked!! Thank you!!

No...that didn't work for me.
Stripped all the mechs I used last night, still missing my 4th Wallhack. Oh well.

for jumpsnipers with PPC's this may had been some useful thing, but in most situations it wouldn't make sense.
Just an FYI.... I lost a module by using the Strip Module button(a month ago).. (never again will I use any of those buttons)...
I Emailed support... This is what I got... (it did not help btw.... and I was eventually given C Bills back to rebuy the missing module)..
I now write down all my modules and major equipment and other things (mech bays.. number of mechs.. premium time days left)... because UI 2.0 will rob your ass blind...
FROm support: (they were very helpful btw)
Hello there,
The invalid loadout and missing inventory errors are known issues, and while instances of it have been reduced as of our last patch, the issue does continue to occur under certain circumstances. This error most often expresses itself when returning to the MechLab after completing a match, and can sometimes occur in other ways when editing a current loadout.
While we continue to work on a final fix for these issues, there are a couple ways to restore your MechLab settings and loadouts to normal if the issue has not automatically resolved itself after returning to the main MechLab screen.
Please be assured that any items missing from the inventory should be purely cosmetic errors. Once the below steps have been undertaken, all missing items should be fully accounted for.
Method One:
-Strip the affected ‘Mech(s).
-Save the loadout(s).
-Re-enter the Loadout screen for the affected ‘Mech(s).
-In most cases this method will resolve the issue. If it does not, proceed to the method -below, which includes a client reboot step to ensure the change has been made.
Method Two:
-Strip the affected ‘Mech(s).
-Save the loadout(s).
-Log-out and close the MWO client.
-Open the MWO client, log in, and access the Loadout screen for the affected ‘Mech(s). All missing items should be restored.
If you continue to experience loadout errors after running through both of these steps, and are certain that your specified loadout should be valid, please run the MWO Repair Tool located in your \MechWarrior Online\Bin32 folder. Be sure to check all the boxes located in the repair tool options before starting the scan.

I know it must be frustrating for guys short of cash or with lots of mechs but its the only way I avoid it.

That's not an excuse for shoddy work, this sort of thing shouldn't be an issue in the first place and if it's still an issue from months ago that just makes it even worse.

Except there is absolutely no way I could ever afford to outfit all my mechs with the modules they would need if I didn't resort to swapping.
