The Quest is simple. the Mauler is an Inner Sphere Assault mech. Very powerful and available in the time line.

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Mauler

So. now That we have the King Ugly. Lets get a Mech that looks nice.
(yes. I continue to mock the King Crab even though I like it)
Also. even if it wasn't totally available in the time line (though to my knowledge it was) it says on Sarna that it was in production in 3050. Given that this is the SECOUND Time that we have been in the year 3050. that shouldn't be a problem.

AFAIK the Mauler does not have three distinct variants in 3050, most of it's variants have equipment that does not exist yet. (snub nose PPCs, Inner Sphere ERML, C3 Slave unit, etc)

Why would you want a mech with such terrible hit boxes?
Anyway, Russ had said a long time ago that they already have the artwork for it, so you'll get it eventually.

If they add the Mauler, I will throw so much $$$ at PGI they'll sue me for assault!

Maybe count the Daboku towards it as well as make their own variant, as with the Enforcer.

In the first place, however, I feel that needing 3 of the same chassis to progress to elite (and 3 of the same weight class to master), has been detrimental to the game, and more focus should have instead been put towards a skill tree.

The King Crab is already a kind-of balistic based assault mech, not sure if we need another one so soon after...

The Mauler is one of the more iconic, recognizeable mechs (I remember seeing one fleeing for its life in MW2:Mercs). It'll be here eventually, but personally I wanna see the Flashbulb (Flashman) first.

I know PGI mentioned they would create their own variants; I also recall that they would be open to modifying the timeline a little bit on a case-by-case basis for some mechs that wouldn't come out for a few years yet. Anyone for a Bushwacker? :D

It's not? Wasn't it the first IS Omni, or what do I mix it up with?

€:
Maybe I was confused with the Mad Dog stuff that they needed to get it running? I don't know. As long as it's no IS Omni, I'll take it. Though it looks nearly as broad as a Nova from the original artwork.

I'd buy a Mauler. Though it will be expensive with that 270 XL engine.

Although I don't believe the Daboku has an XL engine.

Glad to see that people like my idea. and here I was exspecting some trash talk about how I dissed the King Ugly. lol.

But as far as I know, the Bushwhacker isn't an Omni, it was built early on, but failed because it had reactor issues, however salvaged clan tech gave the Bushwhacker a second chance at life, personally I want to see it comeing sometime soon. but I want them to finish CW first.

I remember it was mentioned in an NGNG podcast at least a year ago. Nothing was made of it since then.

Imagine the hardpoint layout, there's barely anything you can't do with it.
Those ballistic and missile weapons are in the sidetorsos and the energy weapons are in the arms, you could probably build several kinds of boat out of one.

Edit: Install MW4 for inspiration if you have it.

Do they have pictures of it? I saw some on google, but they dont look like PGI work.

^^? That? And do you have any idea how horrible that thing will look if it gets stuck with the stub lasers every other mech has?

When can mechs like the Mauler and Warhawk just get their guns on the arms defaulted to be long ones no matter what gun they have on.

I wouldn't worry too much about the arms. They did them right with the Orion, so there's no excuse to mess up the Mauler's arms.

That said, there was no excuse to mangle the Clan mechs' arms, either...

Well, id love to get the big guns on the Warhawk back.....even the PPCs, while they look the coolest, id love to see them be bigger even yet lol.
