Some people have complained about seeing too many of certain mech types in a match so here's a set of potential solutions:
Option 1: Only one chassis of each type per match.
- Each player can only put one mech of each chasis name in his/her drop deck.
EX: 1 Stormcrow, 1 Nova, 1 Timberwolf, 1 Kitfox or
1 Raven, 1 Hunchback, 1 Thunderbolt, 1 Catapult.
They cannot use 3 Thunderbolts , and 1 Raven.
Option 2: 1 of each mech weight class.
- Each Player can equip only one of each weight class of mechs. The tonnage limit might need to be increased for this.
EX: Each player gets 1 light, 1 medium, 1 Heavy, and 1 assault to bring into each fight. They cannot exchange any slot for any lower or higher level slots.
Option 3: Players may specialize in a mech type and take more of those mechs into battle.
- Each player chooses a mech weight to specialize in. That player may take two mechs from that weight class and two mechs each of different weight classes. This may also include rules from option 1. Each assembled team may only have 3 people specialize in each weight class in a match and may include up to 3-6 general slots who have the 1 of each restriction who replace any specialized slot not taken. Players who specialize in assault mechs will have more weight allowed.
EX: A player can specialize in medium mechs can bring 1 Nova, 1 Stormcrow, 1 Timberwolf, 1 Kitfox
or a player specialized in Assault mechs can bring 1 Atlas, 1 Victor, 1 Hunchback and 1 Raven.
