I've tried to solo queue twice now. The first time, I attacked, but got in a game where there were no defenders. The second time, I tried defense, and sat in a room with myself, and 11 "assigning player orders" for 10 minutes before giving up.

What is up with this? Is there a good way to participate in this beta solo?

If the Matchmaker cannot make a defending team the attackers still drop.

I would stick to planets with a lot of people. more than 15 seems to get games faster.

I felt the same, I tried to join solo into the CW for any of the planets that had alot of players, and sat, and sat..

Figured screw it, I got little bit left of my PremiumTime ticking away, at least I can hop in some pub games and play instead.

You have to check out where people are dropping and go there. Look at the right side of the screen while your at the Inner Sphere home screen and you will see all the planets you can fight on. Alot will say 0/0 which means there is no activity. However you will also see 60+/60+ on a few as well. That is where the action is.

I rather pugs NOT do community warfare.
Unless you're in a unit.
I swear...the next time I see a pug shoot the omega gun itself...

You could just tell them. I helped a few new people to cw and we went on to win. Very basic. "generator is in the back of the gun" "it will be in a red box like any other mech".

You could, ya know, use teamwork (the very thing you're complaining about not having) and take 5 seconds to explain it to them. It's not the most intuitive thing in the world if they're new to CW.
