From what i can tell, about 50% of people strongly think playing the CW no defender matches is a waste of time, and i suspect the other half is just indifferent.

- random sample: do you think this is a waste of time?
- yes: ~50%
- no: 0%
- silent: ~50%

Players should be given something when there are no defenders. a deathmatch round of solaris is the best i can think of.

- reward for the time spent in the queue
- groups get practice within ranks, sharpener
- maybe say it's dissension in the ranks over an undefended planet. settle this in solaris!
- maybe IS gets solaris, clans get another flavour of the same, khan's arena

Users should be to quit the attrition match (i don't want to play) with minimal impact to the remaining users who what to play. The match should be a quick reward

- do not lock mechs of users who chose not to play, allow them to move on
- choose 1 mech for 1 match instead of running all CW 4
