Best places to join are smallest factions: Liao, FRR and Clan Smoke Jaguar.

They get matches faster, have bigger rewards and most importantly those need more players. Worst factions to join are biggest ( I believe those are: Clans Bear and Wolf and houses Davion and Stainer), because none of them dont fight against each other so waiting times for opponent are longer.

Stainer is in peace with Davion and Clan Wolf, so no fighting on those fronts, and Davion just bullies its small neighbours which ones dont have enough manpower to muster on all fights.

FRR or Liao probably need fresh units the most, so I'd say either of those. As a Kurita I think I can safely say we're a close third, and obviously I'm biased in saying we would love to have you. Kurita have been doing really well, except we have manpower issues that lead to losing a lot of progress due to ghost drops. If you want to bandwagon to the most successful faction, go Davion or Ghost Bear.

Wait? A bid to vote?? Sure Davion voted that one in favor of them with the weight of a planet (or more). They got the biggest playerbase.

It would be more fair to only let FRR, Liao, and Kurita vote. Then again that wouldnt be very merc-like now, would it?

Davion actually got the 2nd-lowest result on the poll, so there were no shenanigans going on there. But the poll was ultimately disregarded due to "political issues" within the unit. What exactly that means is a question only OP can answer, though perhaps there was pressure within the group to "join the winner" (snowball effect).

This is great advice. FRR is probably the best place for action.
Lore stuff is fine, but do you want to queue 15 mins to fight an empty base?
I've been hopping factions to find the ones with the shortest queues.
Underdog factions for <5min queues.
