Any idea on how many keys will be given out in the next round?

5, and they will be in the form of Golden Tickets... hidden inside random candy wrappers distributed through the Inner Sphere

Ever hopeful, but the way I read it was that initially they were hoping to roll out a new group of beta invites in July, but hardware isn't going to arrive as scheduled and they pushed it back to Aug.

Here's hoping they are under promising and are going to over deliver :P

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
The courage to change the things I can
And a beta key, definitely a beta key!

Darn, thought I was going to get the average land speed velocity of an unladen Combine and Lyran Atlas? In other news... they will give more keys out when the see fit that their server(s) can handle the load. At least one should hope.

if anyone believes that beta keys are handed out "randomly" then i feel sorry for you

they're gonna be handed out according to what the devs need to finish the game. your PC and past experience, etc

Actually I believe the devs have stated it's a RNG engine with some pretty lose variables that chooses who gets in

i hope you're right about them looking at system stats and experience. handing out keys randomly or by who wants them the most is a horrible way to test a game. while i would LOVE to be selected as a recipient for a beta key, i'm more than willing to be patient if i can trust the devs are being logical about their design process in order to create a stellar gaming experience.
