I followed your instructions, chose planets with 120+ players on them.
Get the invite to a planets, 120+ players, go...
Pilots getting their orders.
1, then 4, then 7 then 12.
After 3 minures of that, THE LIST ACUALLY DROPS DOWN!!!
Back to 9, then 4 then I exit.
This is EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.
I JUST WANT TO PLAY...
How???

It still will take some time for it to find matches like it did before patch and favors groupings of players... that has not changed yet. The patch was to update it so you could see others are there and know you are not alone in queue.

I only pick loaded planets. Pilots come in ans leave after 8-10 minutes.
Tries planets missing a few players for teams.
Same thing...

And it wasn't even in Liao space. Dropped in a Steiner planet to defend against Jade Falcon. Great. Yeah, that was fun. Only CW match I've had in 2 days and they kicked us like puppies. 48-20 I think it was, and our last man managed to take out ONE gun generator (valiant effort there spider pilot!).
The sad(der) thing was, when I did drop in that match, there were 3 other Liao players in it as well. WTH??!!
Several times, when looking for matches, my 12 man que was loaded with 12 players and just sitting there. Then just as OP said, you see them slowly dropping back out again.
I know you're gone for holiday break PGI, but please make this a priority when you come back. Some kind of faction "group que" where maybe you can option in to a faction pool that will pull from the entire faction base that's online at the time to fill rosters?

A classic problem.
Must be nice for those 12 man teams that can just drop into these things.

As a Clanner I can only think of a hand full of times the drop wait ever got past 5 minutes. and i've dropped with my team and Pugs as well. Maybe your pugs have a shorter attention span then ours and drop out if they dun drop right away?

Then you get a drop and it is 12 pugs vs a 8 man and 4 man... CW has a ways to go yet for pugging at least.

This isn't roleplay, clanner. Take that attitude back to your tank, shove it up your CT jumpjet vent, or flush it out your coolant pipe. IDGAF which. If I want commentary from a kunckle-dragging 12 year old that can barely click the microphone on, I'll go play Battlefield on XBOX.
This is trying to fix a problem with the lobbies in CW. Guess what? It happens in groups as well as single pugs.
Nothing worse than waiting 30 to 45 min in a 60+/60+ lobby ... when I just want to play. And then I get condescending treatment by self-serving airheads? THIS is why people don't want to pay for the game. THIS is why the playerbase is shrinking.
And what's up with the 48-0 rofflestomps?

1st batch of pugs/groups forms a 12-man. Needs to wait 10 minutes for auto-win or find opponents.
2nd batch forms a 12-man. Must wait until 1 minute after 1st batch launches before it can search for opponents.
3rd batch forms a 12-man. Must wait for 1st and 2nd batch to find opponents or auto-win before it can launch.
They increased the auto-win timer to 10 minutes, so now if you're the third 12-man strike team to arrive at the planet, you have anywhere between 5 and 44 minutes to wait before you actually get into your match. Even if you've already assembled 12 people. But even if a single pug jumps out of your queue, you might miss your place in line and another 12-man group will get to launch before you. So you have to wait another 1 to 10 minutes.
That's ludicrous.
This is further compounded by the fact that we can see how many people are in each planet's queue now - everybody funnels onto the same planet.
"Planet Zeko has 0/0? ... I'm not going there, nobody's there."
"Planet Vumi has 60+/60+? That's where the action is, I'm going there!"
*waits in line for 15 minutes and gives up because too many people are flooding the same queue*
*refuses to go to other planets because they look empty*
"Community Waitfare sucks, never playing again."

I do think that Clan seem to have an winning advantage in CW once you d get a drop. What's annoyingis all my good mechs are clan but I am in house Kurita...so now I can't use my mechs with all my weapons modules....kinda BS but whatever.
but I am very unhappy that if you are puging, and IS, and against any kind of clan team, amost certainly you will be wiped out.
Just now after openng he gates they stormed out and just killed us at the dropships....something wrong there. that's not fun.
I am seriously considering just stopping playing, and I waited years for this to come out, having played since MW and MW2. and 3,4...all.
so far, one in 4 games s fun. you can lose and have fun, if it is fair an not flawed, or quick.
but it's 30 minutes, and usually you know in 5 if you are going to lose.
PGI, fix it.

same outcome. total overwhelming clan against IS and killed at dropships. sorry PGI, it is not working and is not worth persevering with.
send me an email when you have fixed it.
And send me some free stuff to entice me back, because I've had it.
plus I think there is some issue with code, because i'm sure most of my ballistics miss. ping of 300 is unacceptable, but ENTIRELY PGIs fault since they moved servers or something, and now in Australia the route is rubbish.
too may tings ruining it.
how can I get my premium paused for a few months???

But I have to tell you guys, I finally got to drop with a house unit last night. Coming as a 100% pug player, the difference was night and day. We never waited more that a few minutes for a CW match, and each planet we dropped on, we got a successful drop. Meaning, we got a match to start on the planet. Instead of before, where I would be lucky to get a single drop all night, we dropped in match after match, back to back.
And no, it wasn't an "auto-win", we never got a ghost drop, and we faced some tough teams. But we were playing, and it was fun. That's all I'm asking for, just to actually be able to PLAY IT. Up until this point, I too, was ready to just give up on CW totally.
So join a unit if you can. I met some cool folks, and they didn't even berate me for my poor skills. I encourage you to try.
And I hope PGI is also able to put in some kind of a faction-based player pool, where you can option in to be placed in to a larger pool of just your own faction's players, in case your unit isn't active at the time.
