I never played through the entire Jade Chicken campaign for MechWarrior 2 (I should have, but couldn't bring myself to strap into a 'Mech with... that painted on it.)
Listening to Jeehun's magnificent soundtrack on YouTube this morning while I worked, I ran across two things I'd never seen before. One was an audio track that wasn't on my v1.1 MW2 disc. I was amazed that after 16 years, there were still new things to find and experience in MechWarrior.
And then I got to stack something else on top of it - a video of a playthrough of Bouk Obelisk came up, and I got to watch the lunar dawn on MacDuff. It was everything I remembered about the rest of the world of MechWarrior from that era - vivid and stark and beautiful.
I can't wait for the small moments like that in MWO.

Little gems hidden in the past... sunset on MacDuff

The MW2/GBL/mercs soundtracks were all great, would love to see some throwbacks to them in MWO

I stil love listening to the GBL soundtrack from time to time. :-) I hope they have a solid soundtrack for this game! That really helps take a good game to the level of a great game.

I really like that track.
Sunrise on MacDuff is one of the nicest touches they put in there. Love it.

The soundtrack to MW2 was pretty amazing. Best of all stick the game disk in a regular old CD player and it played like a normal soundtrack album.

I second all the above.
I know its probably a forlorn hope given the numerous issues, but it would be EPIC if the sound engineers could grab a number of the various motifs from the MW2 soundtracks and hint at them in the game soundtrack...
