Haven't really played in a number of months and since noone seems to be even bothered to want to bother replying to fellow players in game anymore I'll just ask here.
What are the current limits on premades in public games? Been seeing a lot of 9 mans roll random publics and wondering if the 4x 3 rule was revoked or modified.

In the public group queue, groups are indeed still limited to a max of 3 of any weight class.

You can't drop a group with 4 of any weight.
You can end up in games with 5 heavies 4 assaults 3 mediums

Ah, so you can drop a 9-12 premade in against randoms in publc games now? Just the weight of classes is restricted?

So, there are now three main queues:
Public Solo-queue: Solo players only; no groups, of any size, whatsoever.
Public Group Queue: Group players only; no solo players at all. You can form groups of any size, 2-12 (with the sole exception of 11-person groups - those are not allowed). To try to offset the advantage that larger groups would have against an enemy team comprised of several smaller groups, large groups are given an inflated Elo value. In this queue, it is entirely possible for a 12 person group to go up against, say, 3 separate 4-person groups. In this queue, groups ARE limited to no more than 3 of any weight class.
Community Warfare: Anything goes - solo players, small groups and 12-mans all play with/against each other, and Elo is not used at all. There are no weight-class restrictions - each individual pilot gets their own "dropship" which must be comprised of exactly 4 mechs, whose total weight falls between 160 and 240 tons.

PGI should put in a toggle button for groups. (Click to go by tonnage restriction). That way you can have a buncha heavies and mediums if you drop.
