I don't care if it's a premium feature or if I have to perform unspeakable acts on the lead developer, but please give us a way to say: Drop me on any of these maps, but don't drop me on these ones.

I just played 50 games in a row, and all I got was the maps I dislike the most.

Outside CW, there is no valid reason to force people to play maps they don't want to play, so why do it?

Certain maps favor certain loadouts. For example caustic valley and alpine peaks are very LRM friendly. Players that are choosing the maps they want to play on will have a significant advantage over players that aren't picking maps.

If you want to play a specific map you should create a private lobby. I think having random maps is the way to go for now.

To set up a private lobby, I need 24 people. When I'm pugging, and I've had the same bad map 5 times in a row, I want a way to tell the game: NOT AGAIN.

The game should at least have some mechanism to have you cycle through the maps, instead of just randomizing it. Like I said: I just played 5 hours, I never saw alpine, forest colony (either version), frozen city (either version) or river city (either version) I had canyon and tourmaline twice. Everything else was Dagobah, Manifold, mining network and Crimson Strait.

Sorry, but that's just ****** up.

I see like in reality:24 LRM boats in Alpine Peaks firing until ammo ends. Noone dies. Time is up.
It's much worse and boring, than get into Terra Therma 5 times in a row on a laser vommit.

To be blunt it would also make the match maker suck a lot more. People ***** about how hard it is to get a match and how long it takes. Start splintering the player base like this and it becomes harder to make matches. Yeah you will get some you dont like but at times that is all you get too.

This is the reason you should not be able to filter maps. People already over-spec their mechs, which is the #1 cause of map hate. The maps themselves are fine. People hate Terra Therma and Caustic Valley because they can't handle the heat. People hate Alpine Peaks because they sacrificed their engine for another LRM pod. Et cetera and so forth.

In short, it's not the maps that are broken, it's the mech builds.
