I couldn't find anything to do with the CTF-3D(c) I got from the challenge, so I tried to turn it into a dual-gauss mech.

...it goes 48 kph, with an XL engine. But it has jump jets!

That sounds like a crappy build, TBH. You can get twin Gauss, 6 tons of ammo, 2 jets, and near max armor with endo steel and a 300XL. Tops out at 76.4 kph with tweak. You could cut down to a 280XL and trim some armor for a pair of MLs, still would put you at 71.3 with tweak... Why are you using such a tiny engine?

Agree^^^
I always used the XL280 for a 3rd JJ and I think a lil more ammo.

I checked when I got home, and Iwas wrong, the engine wasn't XL. That's why it's so slow.

I think I also had an ERLL on it for a bit of extra punch.

Not quite as fast as some of those medium gauss mechs, but it has TWO gauss cannons to compensate, and 86 km/h isn't all that bad :)

Thats cool cause its fast, but it has no where near enough ammo for a full game as the trade off. Still cool though.

Catapult side torsos are pretty slim, they rock an XL quite well. If any mech can pull it off, it's the Catapult.

It was also widely regarded as OP in closed beta, and has been a K2 staple ever since.

I just tested out a Gauss Adder and it was surprisingly effective. Full armor and 30 shots with one med laser (and the fixed flame thrower)

No love for the Victor? Its not the fastest, but throw in nearly maxed armor and 6 jump jets plus enough weapons to fight at close range and its a solid all-purpose build:
