Ok so I think the current system is neat and it makes it feel like you are fighting over each individual territory which is nice. So I have thought up a way to hopefully make it applicable throughout the day. Basically we take the current system and divide it into 3 seperate attack times. Of 7.5 hours each or something like that. Anyway for each of these the objective will still be to take as much territory as you can. So after the first phase lets say the attackers took 7 out of the 11 territories. That would be recorded giving the attackers 7 wins. Then the marker stays where it is at for the next phase. So during the next phase the defenders manage to push it to 0 territories held for the attackers. This would be represented by the attackers still only having 7 wins for the day. Then finally for the last set the attackers would need 10 wins so that they would have the majority of the possible 33 wins. This means that at the end of each period the attackers wins are added and at the end of the last period the total attacker wins needs to be more than half of the possible 33 wins. Also as a note this also means that if the defenders keep the attackers from taking more than 6 in the first two periods combined than the attackers will not be able to take the planet. This way would make it benefit both sides to lay siege to the planet for the entire day instead of just a few hours of it. Tell me what you think and please vote.
Edit: I edited this to get the point across better because it was unclear before.
