Just like in Mechwarrior 2 Mercenaries, their should be a way to let players know about certain events. Also based on the success of your missions, their would be news updates telling you how famous you are becoming. The news terminal can even tell you tips on how to gain more C-bills and loyalty points.There are cutscences known as commercials that you can watch just for amusement though. This can give players opportunites, as well as entertainment by including the media.

The News Terminals have 5 these channels:
Breaking News-Shows how different events are changing based on the player's outcome of a mission.
Superstar's Corner- Shows how players are becoming famous.
Show me the C-bills!- gives you advice on how to save or make more C-bills.
Current Events- Tells you about different missions you can take.
The Military and you- Tells how you can gain bigger loyalty points for you faction.
