If were going to have dispersion, it should be only because of recoil, not because the gun decides to randomly throw the shots in w/e odd angle it wants to.

Recoil should be a major contributor, but movement should(velocity, acceleration, terrain) impart some error...especially since the weapon systems don't fire when the time is optimal for accuracy, they fire as we trigger them(except the Gauss). It should reasonable to assume the weapon systems can't respond instantly and perfectly to all variables...so some error should expected.

So we would precise control over where we are are aiming, but a dynamic bloom would dictate the degree of dispersion.

Yeah, but thats only goingto send the shell where the gun is pointing. Idk, if you have ever played the Battlefield series and used thier deviation stuff. The bullets go in all sorts of odd directions that just defy all logic. In 2142, walk down a road hip firing the Ganz, and just watch where all those logic defying bullets go. That is the kind of dispersion we do not need.

Cuz if your firing a gun just from the hip, the bullets are going to go in a cone shape directly to your front. THey are not going to ping off buildings above you, behind you, they are not going to bounce off the ground at your feet and walls off to your left....its going to be a cone directly to the front of the gun. Even World of Tanks dispersion is a bit defying at times...how shells will fly out then suddenly veer left or right....

If we should have any thing, it should maybe be a dot or something on the screen that shows where our arms are actually aiming vs where we are looking...but even that would prolly be to much work to code in. For now, we should just have a recoil factor added to ACs, PPCs, LRMs, and Gauss Rifles, maybe even a small amount to SRMs.

I level up currently my Bonus-CN9-AH and Boy that Mech seems to be nothing than a walking CT nowadays - that Mech really has changed from a Durability-Monster to a Golden Boy V1.
It has become truly a Mech you can put a XL Engine in...
