is it just me or do the older mechs and paint schemes look a bit dull, and unrefined?

I also like how they have the PCG skin still.

There are 'Mechs that appear well-used and dirty, like the Jenner. Any colors or patterns you put on these look dirtier than they should, and some color schemes don't show well.

I do wish they'd change that. I'd rather they have them all show as freshly-painted.

Just talking about the default skin here. I really liked what they did originally, where there was a near even distribution of colors, and they followed the geometry of the mech. Now the default skin might as well be named. I would legit pay MC to have the old default pattern back.

I prefer the grimier, weather-worn looks.

In fact, it'd be nice if it was an option.
Given the option on every paintjob, I'd go for the dirtier looks every time.

IS mechs are supposed to be generations old for the most part. Repeatedly reused. Salvaged, repaired, refitted, sent back to the field.

Only the richest space whales would have shiny new mechs... and absolutely no combat experience beyond a disagreement over a cup of tea about how much money it takes to bribe a chancellor.

Are you talking about Texture quality? or just how they look.

if Quality, then yes.

If about them looking bad because of them being dirty.

would be nice to have a Reset button to change ever thing back to the default setup/Color schemes but I'm not trying to complain, I just noticed that I couldn't get the is Mechs to match the new clans or the newer IS mechs. but if aged is what they are aiming for here then I'd like to see some war scares. I mean these mechs are 100's of years old after all. or maybe in the future they could make this a paint scheme.

Yeah the old ones have terrible texture quality and a lot of the custom skins for them are pretty terrible as well

I think I've went through all of my mechs while planning to add some skins to them (the pirate ones) with the MC from the stocking stuffer, and the only mech that I owned that looked anywhere near decent with that skin was the Vindicator. All of my Centurions, Ravens, Thunderbolts and Cicadas just looked like a low res mess

some of those skins are not as well done. but my problem was how the colors seemed more dull then the new ones. it would seem some of the skins look better on some mechs better then others. the pirate skin looks best on the atlas, and not all the digital camo looks horrible.
