4erml, Gauss
4erll
erppc/Gauss...3tons ammo...
2uAc5, 4ersm
LRM15,15,10, 2erml
BUT it moves well enough.
Nova:
12 ersm...up close and personal but...pray you dont roll alpine. WAS GODLY BEFORE HEAT NERF...now...less so.
10ersml, 1erll...some range
6erml...most balanced and better than looks on paper.
Nova hitboxes got beat with the FUGLY stick.
Arms DRAG on the ground as you walk. They also get picked off very often.
CT sticks out like a JENNER...torso twisting really only does anything vs brand new pilots who arent aware there is more than one hitbox.
PLAY LIKE A KITFOX...behind the scary assault fire support.
I mastered both. Oddly i have a positive KDR in each...somehow???

I think there are inherent problems with the Nova-Prime and Nova-S's arms when it comes to balancing.
How would you properly balance them w/o making the other obsolete?
If you buff the Nova-Prime's arm over the Nova-S, more people will attempt to go "sword and board".
If you buff the Nova-S's arm over the Nova-Prime, more people will just run the Nova-S's arms outright because they will most likely have "even handed builds", although slightly favoring the Right Torso (Nova-B's RT is really nifty).
That doesn't even begin to express how the Nova-B's left arm fits into any of this.
What will most likely happen if one were to buff the Nova-B's left arm is to use it in a more sword+board combo (inherit the bonuses, despite not using that arm for a weapon in its entirity).
It makes me think that PGI needs to revise their quirk system a bit... the "penalties" or "bonuses" would not be applied if that hardpoint isn't use...
For instance, why would use want to use the Nova-S if you don't plan on using AMS? By PGI's current design, you lose 5% torso twist. If it were as such as equipping AMS would actually enforce the penalty, then it wouldn't be the same drag IMO.
Of course, it would change the nature of the quirk system with respect to the value of the omnipods (the Omnipod quirks would still not favor the Nova-Prime's arms, but it could serve a different purpose altogether).
That's a way of looking at it.
If the Nova-B's left arm got a 10% heat reduction buff... I would completely consider going sword and board and not even use the hardpoint...
Just remember that the Nova-S's arms in many instances is more practical than the Nova-Prime's arms... if you're not going sword and board. The one actual thing that makes a difference is where the laser placements are (add the 3rd laser in the Nova-Prime's arm and you'll see what I'm talking about).
Unless you can figure out a decent quirk that gives it value w/o completely changing the dynamics significantly... well good luck with that.
The more likely and "boring" scenario is to give it an armor buff (similar to the Hellbringer and Gargoyle arms), and that would still skew the use of the Nova-B's left arm (faster arm articulation is meh really, but it's worse w/o the heat reduction bonus).
So... it is what it is.

It was decided like a week ago. I've already posted a Nova thread with a followup Summoner thread.
On the other hand, I still need to finish grinding out the Summoners (Prime mastered, B+D with Speed Tweak, B with Fast Fire).

When I read names on a forum, the ForumWarrior in me remembers them due to what they post and what they say.
It's like trying to find "quality posts" from "151th", except that's like asking to find a unicorn. You know what you're getting.

Faction portraits kind of help. For example, when Bishop went Kurita and then Ghost Pedobear, that really messed up my internal "autopilot" skim reading. Seeing Roland and Adiuvo go FRR also was/is confusing. I still wonder why Vassago gave up his blue fist in exchange for becoming a purple bird.
