From the video I saw, it seems that LRM hits a mech from the top? but on the damage show, it is all over the body, so... which direction are those missiles actually hitting from?

now the question is, if u see a friendly mech under bombardment from LRMs, is it possible to block those missiles for them?

Eg by standing infront, or firing countermeasures their way?

AMS would fire back. The missiles clearly have a travel time, so I imagine standing in front of them would make them explode. The devs have already said that in game now, they don't arm until they're out of a certain range, so if they fire in too close, they literally just bounce off of your 'mech.

Yeah if you have AMS and you stand next to them and enclose them in your anti LRM field. Supposedly.

No. In the TT rulebook, the AMS only tracked missiles that were locked onto your mech, not a friendly or enemy mech. In game, the AMS only fired shots at a missile attack on a mech with AMS before they hit

I think he's asking if he can interrupt LOS for missiles like you could for straight line weapons. Probably you can safely assume you can for SRM's but I don't think anyone knows enough about the in game mechanics of LRM's to give you a real answer.

Yes, our glorious hero Atlas would shield his fellow mechwarriors from the LRM's in all his shinning glory... untill his head gets blown off...

If things work like previous MW games I would say yes. I will not go into details, some tricks I want to keep to myself. Lets just say missles could explode before they hit even with out AMS installed.

Also not an exploit and not an easy thing to pull off.

I believe that the Devs have stated that friendly fire is enabled. So, everyone has the ability to shoot their LRMs into their teammates. With that known about the game, I'd go out on a limb and state that is is entirely plausible to intercept LRMs aimed at your own teammate. You/I/We just need to figure out how to go about that, by standing directly in front of your teammate, or perhaps using jump jets to get above your teammate.
