Ever since they dropped the Dec 18 patch I have been unable to patch it. I open the MWO interface and hit patch. It gets to about 2% then shortly shuts down and closes. It does this every time I try to patch.
Today I uninstalled and reinstalled the client but that didn't help.
I emailed support a few days ago but no response yet, holidays I'm sure.
Thoughts??

Sounds a lot like windows has the programed blocked. I take it you're running it as administrator? Check the properties for the MWO exes and make sure there's not an unblock button. If there is that more than likely the issue as that prevents a program from writing multiple directories and will just close the program when it tries.

I looked through the exe file but did not see any "unblock" buttons or anything similar. Which tab of the Properties would they be under? Would they be called a different name?
