Just got finished with a nasty roflstomp against CGBI. I was pugging it in a solo que (I knew what I was signing up for) and got sent up against those filthy clanners. Their first wave crushed our uncoordinated defenses, marched through the doors, and slammed the cannon pretty hard.

But then, instead of finishing the fight, they gave us a fight. Initiating one on one duels, and just having some fun with it. It allowed all of us solo puggers a chance to get some good creds, LP, and XP, as well as some REALLY fun fights. I earned more c-bills, xp, and LP from that loss than I do most victories.

When they were down to their last mechs, the decided to finish it then and took out our cannon.

I just wanted to give them two thumbs up for some good sportsmanship, even if there were some of us puggers who were a bit displeased with having to fight a premade. I may not like clanners, but the next round of drinks is on me, for CGBI. Thanks for the great game.

Ghost bear in general are quite awesome both in lore and in MW: O.

Quite the opposite to Clan Jade Flacon in MW: O. Any unit there wouldn't think twice about ending the game right away.

AW .... mostly CJF just try to keep the fight going at the start and wear them down (mostly , some just go for gens and stuff). depends who takes the reigns really and how many PUG's they have.

However IS tend to try to sneak a win from under you with sneak attacks and the like!

It's funny that people are happy that some folks like to play with their prey before they kill them. I guess you gotta do something after enough easy wins.

We're just more efficient by going straight for the business at hand. We also generally don't play with our prey before eating them. ;)

+1

Shout out to Tyman and Tuann for offering Zellbrigen at the end of a brutal roflstomp yesterday. They did the same thing, coming out to give us a fight when they saw which way things were going. At least some of the losing players got an 80 match score that way.

I was the last survivor on my team, rocking my AWS-8Q with 3 PPC's and a small laser. One of their guys in a damaged Mad Dog offered the challenge. Unfortunately, some non-CGBI players interfered, but for a little moment, there was a pretty sweet scene with the last Inner Sphere assault mech standing alone in the snow-covered plains of Boreal vault, surrounded by piles of burning allied mechs, going up against a single Ghost Bear heavy mech, with the rest of the Clan observing at a distance. It doesn't happen often in MWO, but it's nice when it happens.

Most of the Ghost Bears I've fought against/with died easily.

They've kind of been disappointing.

That being said, the experience described in the OP is pretty cool. Kudos to them for allowing it! :)

When one team "farms" both teams end up getting more out of it. The lame ass base rush and win is no fun for anyone involved.

This is pretty cool considering the stocking stuffer event is still going, good chance to let the losing team get 80 points. Which is really hard to do when one team just rushes to win.

I have fun winning, and not wasting time. So we can get in another match quickly as possible.

Well when teams are waiting up to 20 minutes (sometimes more) and the game is over in 5 minutes, from a base rush, I consider that the biggest waste of time possible for everyone.

Umm it's also hard for the winning team if they just rush. It think it's hilarious how this is being spun as being magnanimous. :D
