You seem to forget that Irish and Scottish Americans celebrate Independence Day, among other things, whenever something is uncorked. Here's to King George III, the sanest Brit anyone ever met!

I'm certain there's a 4th of July in every country. B)

Well...yes ! We don't go from July 3rd to July 5th, that would be weird, right ? :)

Actually, according to polls, the single largest nationality represented on these forums is Russian. US comes after that, followed closely by Europe.

Yes but all the russian accounts on the forum are actually just 6 guys running zombie computers... ^_^

But yeah, I don't think PGI is going to celebrate anything, or else I'm asking for the 14th of July, national day of France, to be special and as a french guy, I will demand a beta-key ! Yes I can !

As pointed out in another thread, July 4th is the most likely date for BattleMech #14 to be revealed. So you 'Mericans might get something to celebrate anyway.

Thats cause you guys we're still Britain's lapdogs at the time. And Britain got cocky during the Napoleon War and after defeating Napoleon, and the continued impressment of U.S. sailors and imposing trade restrictions, resulting in another war with the U.S... and Canada happened to be the nearest British territory at the time.
But we're all buddies now *hugs*

If they were going to bother with a holiday celebration, I'd rather it be an important day within the fiction. Like, say, Hanse and Melissa's anniversary, or Kerensky's victory over the Usurper. Or the founding of the original Star League :)
