So I was playing all morning long, clicked into a match and crashed to desk top, except when I open MWO again to re-enter the game I get " DOWNLOADING INSTALL BASE" for a 5 hour download. I checked the forums and some people were having this issue back in august. Anyone have any clue how I can fix this, other then downloading a 5 hour patch every time I want to play?

having the same problem also, a friend of mine got the same problem few min ago. i was realy hoping to make some good use of my premium time today but it looks like ill be patching for a while now. and so far i have had no luck finding a fix.

Thi bug happened to me, too. What gives? I'm playing, then I close it out so I can start Fraps, then I start it again and it tells me there's a patch. Thinking nothing weird about this, I click patch, and the patcher says it's going to take 5-6 hours? WTH PGI?! Why is an UPDATE the same size as the entire game? ~WHY~ is it redownloading the entire game (Which means it's going to have to spend up to an hour or more AFTER the initial download in order to patch the updates to the game, too)for no apparent reason?!

Just went through 2 times of same 'patch available' process. For me it was over 6484mb, which took about 35min for download, then 6-7min for 'prep to install' then abt 5min for 'install' and around 2min for 'finalize install'.

In simple terms, I went through 2x 50min patch/install sessions back to back.

After patcher says 'ready to play' I click to play and get a message that 'a patch is available'...

First time for me to have this problem... guess I will retry and go get lunch for an hour, while I wait??

i manage to get mine to patch properly after reinstalling like 3 times.

just click the options on the laucher(the little gear shaped icon on the uper right) and set a new temp folder for MWO. i just created a new folder for it and now im able to play . hope this helps others get back in the game.

now to go kill in my new fire starter i bought and upgraded right befor this BS happened.
