no patch and many people cant play right now due to the patch wanting to re-install the game over and over.
installs patches...... i hit play and BLAMO, a newer patch version is needed, close game run launcher and its installing the game game again WTH PGI! XD

Um, what are you talking about? Sounds like you are launching the Test Server Client almost, which indeed won't work.

no im just run the game normaly never even play on the test server. i starter the launcher, and it showed the patch button, hit it and it started downloading, installing the entire game, once it was done, hit play and i load in to get an error and it starts it all over again. lota my friends on here are having the same issue.
not sure what could cause this but its realy annoying. hopefuly PGI will figure it out sent in a ticket to support now for the waiting game with PGI.......................................................................................................

Yah, it makes you patch when you launch, then after 30 mins and you finally get to the login screen, forced patch. Soooo, yah, broken. Thankyou. finally had some free time in the middle of the day, but no. this crap now.

I FIXed it! XD
all i did was made a new temp folder location under the options on the launcher and blam it patched and now its playing.
hope this help anyone else having this issue. >:3

well its was working, after restarting game again to switch my sound over to my headset, its trying to reinstall the game again XD
gona try few things to see if i can get it to play again was realy wanting to make use of my premium time to start the firestarter mechs grind :/

ok so i turned on automactical patch option , and delete the MWO temp folder recreated it and restarted launcher im back in the game again XD, not sure whats going on, or if what i did had any effect on it working, but im in game again, hope this help some of you get back in game. gl to those trying to those having these issues.

Nope...autopatch option simply makes it roll into another patch sequence right after it finishes the 6gb patch sequence. Last recourse is to uninstall the frigging thing, which means having to redo all my settings. IF even the reinstall fixes this crap.

Is this a "run as administrator" (Microsoft User Access Control) issue? it sounds like it isn't successfully patching the file. Also have you tried the MWO repair tool?

Baring that maybe a problem with the C++ libraries.
Does it happen on the 32-bit client and 64-bit? or do you get that far?
