It may be because I am in Europe and not North American but I just don't seem to be getting any where with Community Warfare ...
I click on the little button that says my help is needed somewhere I change my drop bay ... I am a scout but I can't play only scouts ... there fore taking valuable tonnage that could be used by someone who knows what to do with it ... and then I just sit there ... and wait .... and wait !
What am I doing wrong ... I only have the ability to drop as a pug too which I'm sure can't be helping... Is this normal . . .I have only one ....ONE drop since the start !

You might want to wait until CW is no longer Beta, then decide at that time to see if you like it.

Time to learn some other roles, you can play scout (mostly on sulpher tho) you'll just have to use some heavier fast mediums as well, as a solo player in one of the more populated factions (davion) your going to be waiting awhile, use the display on the faction map to see where there are currently ques of players waiting 12 players per team so pick the ques that need players to make up to that 12.

Also consider joining one of the less populated factions, Liao, FRR, Kurita, CJF, CSJ should speed up your game time.

I live in north america. I play as either as a pug or inn two mans. It takes 20+ min of waiting to get a drop. I have never gotten a match clicking on the tab in the bottom corner. I feel your pain. It does afford plenty of time to drink beer instead of blow up mechs. I want to do defenses. my personal play style makes me a good defender. I kept getting attacks, so I just gave up. Probably will not play cw until beta is over. I question if it is even for guys like me. I will stay with my favorite game mode for now. (conquest)

Part of the issue is that nobody feels compelled to organize CW drops outside of a couple hours before ceasefire. If the combat period lasted for 5.5 hours, and then .5 hours peace time, the battles would be spread more over the day as people put a little more effort into logging in at odd times, or participating in meaningful battles.

Well sticking with only Light mechs is putting YOU at a huge disadvantage in CW. Not to mention you are not STEALING tonnage from anyone. Everyone gets the same Limits both min and max. So its best for each pilot to use ALL THE TONNAGE they can or is available to them.

Also, CW is not REALLY for Solo guys. Not saying you are not suppose to be there or you are not important because you certainly are. In certain factions EVERY pilot counts (CSJ being one of them) and need to participate for it to work well.

My first suggestion is to find a Unit or Group to play with. The MM does best with even numbers apparently.(2,4,6 and 8) and i seem to get matches MUCH faster when in a 2-8 man group. (12 being the fastest because you are immediately in Queue for games, not queue for players and yes there are two separate ones.) That being because the MM can make teams faster with larger groups. So the fastest, easiest and way it was INTENDED is to in fact drop with groups.

If you choose to continue to PUG it up, first i commend you because that **** aint easy, two pick an IS faction. Much more attack and defend options (CSJ has one Planet to attack always in the IS, or One per border) since they border more territory.

Look at the planet list - do not go to plaents with 0/0 or 12/0 or 12/12 - go to planets with 35/28 or 27/45 or 60/60 but there you may wait agin long bcs it could be many 12 mans that need no solo Pugger.

The side that outweights the other is likely to getting attacking/counterattacking Mission if the 15 Planet Areas Balance does not prevent this (you can usualy not attack what you own - though in MWO CW even this does happen :D).

I'm EU too, have played 15 ish cw drops. Most as a pug. I like it. Comms on chat seem much better. I find assault hard though as without 12 dudes lined up to zerg, the dribs and drabs approach falters to easily.

Still, for a beta, personally, I like it.

And wait times suck. But what really grates is when you have 12 pilots waiting (pre names) and some impatient douche bails! The way I have it figured, if it's nothing doing at 12 mins, time to leave lobby. Is annoying, but the epic matches kinda makes up for it....

shouldn't you have a faction tag?
