as the title says, hero mech Grid Iron special edition is still marked and displayed as a champion mech in mech lab

steps to reproduce if you own Grid Iron SE:
- go to mech lab
- select "all", "medium", or simply "champion"
- you will find Grid Iron SE in all those categories marked as champion
- select "hero"
- no Grid Iron SE threre

reproduction rate 100%


the normal version of Grid Iron seems to be displayed correctly (i do not own this version, but as purchabable this mech is marked and displayed as hero mech)

Verifying this is STILL the case. PGI, it has been this way since release. Can we fix it already? Also unsure if I am receiving c-bill and XP bonuses for this mech.

Confirming, Grid Iron Limited Edition not receiving Hero bonus or Champion bonus (as it is incorrectly labeled) in matches.

PGI,we paid $$ for his mech. Fix it.

I think champion mechs get a XP bonus, but the Hero does not. So exploit that extra XP now.

Brody, here is conundrum. The GI LE is designated in the mech lab as a champion but it is a hero. The bonus seems to be that of a hero, but if you telling me it is a champion you are damn straight I want the extra XP.

Why the Founder champion is not receiving the XP bonus I a mystery.

Phoenix package (P) variants also show as hero even though they are 30% c-bills.

I also have a GI LE and I often wondered about the champion status and not hero. I will pay close attention to the post match results to see if it pays the 30% c-bills but I don't think it does.

PGI, I have all the hero mechs and the GI LE is one of my favourites. Please fix this! Thanks!

It's easy to tell. If you see 'Mech Bonus' at the bottom of the EOM cbill breakdown, you're getting the +30% cbills.

How long has the Grid Iron been released? I thought this stuff was released at or around the time UI 2.0 (and the Super Bowl) and nothing has come of it?

Go figure.

Also, since CW's release, the subtotal for XP is broken, but the Grid Iron is supposed to give you a C-bill bonus AFAIK.

I'v never not gotten the cbill bonus, on my recently bought HBK-GI, but I'll check again later today.

If you recently bought the Grid Iron then there's no possibility you have the Limited Edition version. That was the version that came out when the Grid Iron was released that came with a special exclusive cockpit item (a cheerleader bobble). It's not available anymore.

IIRC, ironically the Limited Edition's MC cost was the cost of the regular Gird Iron plus the bobblehead. The bobblehead could have been acquired separately at that time.

Both are functionally the same (not sure if there's any special geometry between the Limited Edition and regular version).

There is no special geometry between the GI and GISE. Only difference is the bobblehead and the price did indeed reflect only that.
