Been a little bit tense around here recently. Balance discussion has turned a bit personal, not a very good situation.

How about we have a nice thread where people playing clan right now give a needed buff to IS and people playing IS give a needed buff to clan.


My buffs for my IS friends:

1) ER Large Laser Range perks for laser catapults and trebuchets so it has approx. the range of a clan er large laser

2) Armor perks to the CT of the catapult 2K and the splat cat

25% ballistic cooldown for Summoner + 25% more for CUAC5, which adds to a total of 50%. Now a single nipple gun is enough to do some damage, with plenty of ammo.

20% CERPPC heat reduction + 20% projectile speed quirk for the Warhawk.

50% Cooldown on CSRMs for the Mist Lynx.

Better armor/structure quirks for the barn-on-legs that is the Awesome. Oh and better hardpoint placement for the Pretty Baby, 'cause I have one of those and it kinda makes me sad :(

Dump Ghost Heat - make DHS's TRUE

Buff for everyone - especially for those energy heavy mechs that get torn apart by ballistics.

I tend to see lazor vomit tearing apart just as many if not more mechs than ballistics, but Wubhawk won't reject any buffs... :ph34r:

Energy boats had it bad but the heat quirks are helping to diminish the problem that PGI created. The Awesome is a good example of this but definitely can use more :)

Stalker - Misery gets 30+ structure in each area (not because I own one I swear :ph34r: )
Mist Lynx - JJs become removable.

I see where this is going.

I would give ER-SL range quirks to the Warhawk so that it matches range of a medium laser.
I would give MG range quirks to the Timberwolves so they don't feel left out.
I would give large ballistic speed and range quirks to the Nova
I would give AMS cooldown and range quirks to the Direwolf, because it legitimately needs it.
I would give Hitbox buffs to the stormcrow so they don't feel like such a firestarter.

Faster bursts on all Clan Ultra-Autocannons. Like, twice as fast. Weapons.xml lists the volleydelay variable for the UAC/2, UAC/5, UAC/10, and UAC/20 as 0.14, 0.15, 0.16, and 0.17 respectively. I'd reduce those numbers to 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, and 0.1.

This is probably more of a nerf than a buff, but I'd also like to see Clan SRMs ripple fire like LRMs, but get 30% faster cooldowns in exchange. That way, they have a little more character to them instead of being just better IS SRMs.

Catapults need love. More LA and RA armor, better LRM quirks.

no quirks to clanners.

the better engine, the better weapons, the configurable hardpoints are their quirks already.

p.s. i have IS and clan mechs.

I say no buff and a 50% damage nerf across the board. Time to kill right now is way to fast.

Increase the "ROF" of Clan Autocannons. By that, I mean the distance bewteen shell number 1 and shell number 2 out of the barrel.

- 15% heat generation for lasers of either kind for the Nova.
- Heat Sinks in the Warhawk's LT are now Truedubs. (Evil Laughter)

I was thinking again, the commando could really use a bit more love.

I was thinking an increase to his acceleration and medium laser range.

Probably needs shorter laser duration more than either of those. Or +armor/structure. It's already a nimble ninja.
