Should be added to this game for those who've had their lives consumed by Urbies :(

So many Urbies so little time, and I ain't got the will to ask for a refund on these cute little guys

Is there anyone else out there that have had their mc/lives consumed by urbie?

Ps: I've altered the image, I "only" have a total of 16 Urbie Classy 'Mechs,
but shopped one onto the console so you may gaze upon it's glory B)

Maybe you can trade in all 16 for a real one.

Urbie-love is a cruel and demanding thing, but for those of us who love the Urbie we wouldn't have it any other way - because Urbie ^_^

Yeah I was surprised too, I didn't realize I bought so many

I just wanted 8 for my two inner sphere drop decks for CW, and 4 for each weight class for pugging, so yeah... ;)

Urbies

I'm not sure if I get the whole urbie obsession thing. Anyone able to help explain the thing with them?

It's an iconic mech that is outperformed by basically everything, but because of how singular it is people continue to love it.

Kind of like a pet rock.

I've got an addiction, and that addiction can only be cured with Piranha mechs!

The UrbanMech is the VW Bug of Battletech. It a low cost easy to run mech.

For the cost of a low end Atlas without pilot, support staff or spare parts. You can get five UrbanMechs, paid the pilots and support staff and still have money for some spare parts.

The Urbanmech, in it's natural urban environment is a good choice- cheap and usually over gunned. Taken into ANY OTHER environment, or even a large park, it becomes pretty crappy. The Urbanmech is a great analogy for MW:O's player base though. Something that is heavily demanded that will be hated and shunned if/when it actually gets put into game.

Wait, 16 Urbanmechs? ... Man you are addicted. You need an Urbie-Shrink. Hopefully they can shrink your obsession in these shrunken cockpit items and eventually nuture a love and desire for an acutal Urbie.

For me, it's Annihilators. I don't care that it's slower than most assaults, or it's ballistic-dependencies, it just... touches me in a way that other mechs can't. It's Dak-tastic with LBXs and, and medium pulse-lasers. Wub, Dakka, dakka, Wub, WUB, DAK, DAK, DAK, DAK, WUUuuUUuBBB!!! You can get addicited to those spread out set of hardpoints. Sorry, but... It's... . It's beautiful.
