I haven't been using my T-bolts. Too many T-bolts are on the field. It's getting pretty boring to see that out of so many mechs, the same tiny handful keep getting used over and over again.

Torso mounted weapons, tanking bonuses on said torso and mow through Timberwolf firing rates.

Dude, I'm IS, and I have T-bolts.

I'm just irritated how every drop deck is so painfully samey.

I've never bought into the whole "it's what's meta" tripe. I just take something that fills the role the team needs.

It's like in those street fighter titles, dozens of characters, and they always pick the same Ken, Ryu, or Akuma. I don't know how this doesn't get bland for people. Do they only have 4 mechbays? It's almost as bad as dropping with a team of "Basic Green" players.

We got 9S nerfed so people picked up the next best mech- If you nerf 5SS they will just pick up the next one....it doesn´t matter. Majority will always take the best suited mech available.

hmmm...I don't know but the 5SS Thunderwub of doom is crazy good. I mean seriously, it makes my clan wubwubs cry alittle inside. Trained it up for this event and I see what I have been missing.....

That nerf was awhile back, from 25% MPL heat gen (12.5+12.5) to 15% general heat gen.

The ERLL loadout was technically buffed, while the MPL loadout is still plenty deadly.

The 65 ton TDR-5SS with 7 MPL:
Alpha: 42
Range: 330
HPS: 5,8

However, the SCR is 10 tons lighter, has the superior hit boxes, is almost 30 kph faster and cools down slightly better (2 more heat sinks). In addition it get some small goodies from the target computer 1.

Seems to be well balanced. So, we can say the TDR-5SS is currently on the level as the best clan mechs.

Lets see the rest of the stats:

DPS: Tbolt - 15.9 SCR - 12.0
Sustained DPS: Tbolt - 6.9 SCR - 5.6
Time to Overheat - Tbolt - 10.9 SCR - 10.7

Not to mention the Tbolt gets an extra module (for better range or seismic) and has the left arm for a shield. Lastly, if willing to drop to a 275, It can dump endo for a loss of 7 KPH and up it's sustained DPS to 7.2. So I'd be more inclined to say it can beat the best.
