The reason for this is simple.

On 'sulfurous' you have 3 separated gates which forces the defenders to send out scouts and prioritize. The attackers have an opportunity to use diversion tactics, attack multiple gates, or focus.

On Boreal there are no such opportunities, because the defenders can sit in the center of their base and see everything the attacker does. The attacker cannot divert attention except once they have already passed the main chokepoint.

Admittedly this is a good defensive base design, forcing all your enemies to expose themselves in a canyon as they attack. But the game is meant to be fun for both attacker and defender.

Solution: Add some sort of 'siege tunnel' on the attacker's side of the map, giving them another avenue of attack. This should open up perhaps in the side or behind the center of the enemy base. Provides more tactical options, more variable play, more fun, less simplistic 'snipers camp center hills' strat.

Alternately: Add two tunnels, one going off each side, and both opening up in the sides of the base.

Or: Add the tunnel entrance inside the base, very near the gates, as a sort of entry point to an underground part of the base, like a garage. 2 exits at far sides of the base.

Also consider: Increasing the part of the middle mountain that splits the gates by lengthening it into the base and forking it in two directions like a Y so gates face to the sides, and further increase the ridges of the mountain past those gates, so as attackers approach opened gates they aren't pins in a bowling alley.

Just suggestions, but as it stands, this map favors defense much more than sulfurous, which is why so many resorted to zerg here.
