Doesn't the Timberwolf also have an ECM variant?

It's also a hero variant, to add more fuel to the fire. A hero that, in canon, is painted green with credit symbols all over it.
The forum rage would be insane.

The Bounty Hunter version, from 3060 does.
The A would prove better. A combination of the two....would be extraordinary. 9E hardpoints with 3 super high mounted, with a Jesus Box.
However, there is one downside, unless you take the S CT, (forfeiting one E slot) you wouldn't have any JJs. Probably worth it.

No. Why?
Because you do not fix a bad omni-mech by making a single pod a must have. When you do so you remove the entire point of the Omni-mech system.
This is pretty much the entire reason why adding the S-pods on the Timberwolf was a mistake, not because it allowed the TB access to JJ but because S-pods were better than other pods to fit in that space.
When you -need- to take one particular pod in order for a mech to be worth a damn then you have failed at designing for the omni-mech system. Want the Nova-cat to be good? Fix the mech, don't try to add a god pod.
Omni-pods have to be balanced against other pods for that chassis in that same location. You cannot have a clear and obvious choice for pods, you cannot have an option that is obviously better than every other option to the point of exclusion.

It does remove a safe place to store ammo. You will lose an ST and arm, and you can't safely place it in the CT; head is the best option since it's consumed last.
Jesus Box is a big plus, but MG ammo is also a concern. Besides, this mech needs something better than the Crow. It also has 13 E hardpoints modelled, compared to the 14 of the Nova.
