Greetings all,

The original Mech art is listed at Deviant art by:
'Charge' by flyingdebris.
- If that is the Alex (flyingdebris) we know then it's his work.

There are still many, I say again, many Mech chassis yet to be developed and introduced into MWO.
- The entire ComStar list of Mech's (currently still secret from the IS).
~ Pristine Star League tech. similarly matched in advanced design to the Clans.
- The longer we go in the timeline the more advanced Mech chassis we start to see, especially Faction developed Mech's that were not sold or deployed with other Factions.

The next few years in this timeline see's quite a few advances in all aspects of design and Tech, and as with any time of war, manufacturing, sciences and resources are pushed to this type of development.

Air True and Run Cool,
9erRed

A damn shame these so called advances can't be applied to this game as a whole. We have more than enough mechs they have made enough money off of them, it's time they start making the game work, and for it to be more than just something I do once every month or so for a few hours maybe when I just feel like zoning out get buzzed and just blow mechs up on a screen and not care.

Theoretically, this thing should jump. The S variant STs:

I didn't see the JJs modelled, though, unlike both the TimberWolf and Banshee which do have them modelled separately.

I don't think the Direstar Mk II would even have enough tonnage to use all of those energy hardpoints, even with literally zero armor. The most it could fit is 11.

I got one to work in SSW....not necessarily a good one, but with some ERSLs you can do it.

10 ERSLs, 3 ERMLs, 2 ERLLs, 2 Gauss 60 rounds. 19 DHS is wholly inadequate, but 123 damage you can aim....after 2 seconds.

A better choice might be to simply ignore the CT slots (due to being lower) and just mount 5 ERMLs in the head and torsi, along with 6 ERSLs and 2 ERLLs in the arms. Only 11 ghost heat linked lasers is easy to handle. Only 117 damage, but should be feasible enough. Strip a ton and get 20 DHS.

A joke build, of course, but I think it would be pretty fun.

Wait a minute...I forgot the JJs. 4 tons down for a build using both STs. So....yeah....no. Not with 16 DHS.

The original (not the one on this page) certainly doesn't look 100 tons. Also that was apparently (by the text on the image) done at or before 2010 so...

It's not a bad looking mech, but just not looking 100 tons by any means.

I'm afraid they don't have the superior IS MPLs; the ghost heat would be roughly over nine thousand.

I think the heat is still less than the 9 PPC build.
9 PPCs = 54 tons.
15 MPLs = 30 tons
Less tonnage used on weapons, more heat sinks, increased dissipation.

100 ton mech with jumpjets.

Fear my max altitude of 5 meters above ground!

Better make sure those cockpit seals are tight before trying that; would not want to suffer explosive decompression at that altitude.

First we had the Atlas with torso mounted AC20 and ECM.
Then the Highlander with arm mounted AC20 and jump jets
Then King Crab with dual AC20s.
Tomorrow, the Pillager with dual AC20s and jump jets?

You know what's missing. Dual AC20s, jump jets and ECM.

They released the Dire Whale and the King Crab. I didn't realize there was any concern about hardpoints anymore, except possibly for ECM.

You can't make money without selling something people want to buy.
