I apologize in advance for not being good at technical things.
Maybe you will still help me.
I upgraded my PC recently to CPU (I7, 4x4,0) with 12GB ram and GTX 760, Win 8.1.
Still I often have yellow FPS during battle.
Task Manager tells me that only 2.0 - 2.3 GB of RAM are used.
I find lots of tutorials in the www for allocating more ram to minecraft.
Is there a way to allocate more ram to MWO?
I already checked the 64-bit-checker on the MWO-launcher.
Thank you.

It is unlikely to be a RAM issues; Head over to the Hardware Section, and post something with moar details about your system …

Unfortunately it is not your rig.
It is not possible to maintain 60fps minimum frame rate at high detail with any rig.
If you use performance monitor in combination with programmes such as HWInfo and Precision X to monitor RAM, CPU, GPU and VRAM usage you will see that none of them are being fully used and yet frame rates will drop at certain times.
This will continue until the devs dedicate resource to optimisation issues (which I believe will be at some point in 2015). The fact that they have recently released a 64 bit client gives me some hope that performance issues are on the radar.
Unfortunately some believe that due to the choice of Cry Engine (which is not well suited to this type of game) performance issues will NEVER be resolved and that you will have to live with frame rate drops ad infinitum.
Only time will tell.
In any case frame rate drops are much documented and discussed on the forums so trust me it is not your rig.
If you want to help the process along then drop an e-mail to support@mwomercs.com and let them know your problem.
The more people who register official feedback the better as it may spur them to dedicate time to this issue.
Edit 1. If you are seeing worse performance in CW than in normal play, then this is an issue acknowledged by the devs and being worked on as we speak.
Edit 2. To address your RAM question specifically, if you have confirmed you are running the 64 bit client and seen more than 2GB being used by the process then you can rest assured the game is utilising all the RAM it feels it needs.

Thank you Jabilo.
Your answer was especially helpful.
The FPS drops sometimes under 60, more than 2 GB of ram are used and so it oviously is nothing I can do about.
Thank you very much, the thread can be closed.

Considering in regular matches I can now maintain 60+ fps and in CW I'm now only dipping into the 50s, I'm going to have to call BS on this. I am still testing things out in the user.cfg file, but there are several pieces of information in the hardware subforum that will help most people get more out of MWO. As I test things, I post them there. My system is pretty beastly, though, so I can guarantee not everybody can get a steady 60fps or even stay in the green all the time.

I think Jabilo Has it right about the crytek engine. It was built more for single player games really. it was also built for "human scale". Lot of the things in game have to be built with lots of detail to make them look the correct scale. In the past I have gotten blasted for suggesting that maybe it would have been better if PGI had used the Unreal engine instead (most the doofuses that blasted me were saying stuff like "meh this not arcade game"). But I counter argue That the Unreal engine has been used in more genres of games than any other game engine. it was designed for mass player versus player or team versus team game play. Sure it might not have looked as pretty if they had used unreal, but I doubt the unreal engine would have had any issues doing a simulation game at all, and UDK 3 doesn't really look bad. Despite being a game engine from 2007 there are still new games coming out on it that look beautiful. On top of that we would have already been neck deep in 32vs32 or even 64 v64 player game play had PGI gone with Unreal. The only reasons Cry engine was used (imo) is likely due to the exsistance of that Mechwarrior mod that was made for (crysis) cry engine 2 (MWO uses cry engine 3 btw). I also find it sad that PGI missed a great opportunity by using Cry engine 3 over Unreal. That opportunity being those massive 32v32 ( or 64v64) battles in a battle tech setting. Imagine that sort of fight in CW. as it stands we'll likely never see16v16 even.
