Far, far too many CBills. I know that they need an XP & CBill sink / some kind of end-game but trying to get modules up to a usable amount (especially with CW) is just burning me out. Even with members it burns me out and removes a lot of sense of progression.

Good luck getting modules for your 100+ mechs guys that actually spend money.

Yeah, getting modules for that many would be unfeasible/unlikely unless you go balls to the wall hardcore grinding. I just want modules for 1-2 drop decks and 4 sets for each weight class for pugging (trying to convince himself he's not crazy). Though I personally don't put radar deprivation on anything that goes less than 140kph, though advanced seismic sensor can go on anything, sudden stop to view movement around the corner is very useful in any weight class.

The costs of modules is insane... probaly 3 modules per mech. This is just standard modules such as Radar Dep, Improved Gyro etc.

30 modules for all 10 Atlai. That makes 180 milion of cbils for just the basic modules. This is without cooldown modules etc.

Yeah they're quite pricey, the advice I'd give any new player wanting to get good and rake in the profit (especially if repair and rearm rears it's ugly beautiful head), would be in order...

1. Play trails
2. Keep eyes open for mech bay reward events
3. Obtain enough cash for the Locust(s)-1E/3M/1V, engine(s) (swapping engines is much cheaper), weaponry
4. Grind basics, elite, and master (on favorite one or all)
5. Save up for modules that can be applied to Locusts/other desired mechs
6. Profit and watch the c-bills/mechs roll in

Because if you can drive a locust, you can dodge a Autocannon

Too many to count. Equipped all my mechs. The costs are outrageous for most of them.

My idea is every module I buy I make a mental note to delay any purchase of mc. Its worked pretty good so far. I spent real money several times before Christmas for myself and gifts for a few. Then I bought more modules. Now I will wait a long time before i spend anymore fiat currency on PGI. If I need more modules I will wait even longer.

When they decide to reasonably convert MC for Cbills I might change my mind. For now I grind and do not invest.

1 mc = 1625 c-bills (4000 mc package), and 1mc = 1375 c-bills (800 mc package), fairly steep but I personally find the grind is part of the fun and the anticipation of completing goals is quite rewarding, hence why if they doubled the amount from mc c-bill packages, you'd still find me and others that still prefer the old fashioned way of obtaining c-bills in my opinion B)

Only super veterans can actually afford that luxury. I myself have 6 radar derps, 6 seismics, and 4+ of virtually every other module in the game just sitting around.

the time to accumulate a fortune in pixelated money, I posted because it was funny

Between 50-60 million cbills...I think. That's without duplicates, so I have to swap.

Modules are stupid expensive, and the only mech where I've used weapon modules on is the Huginn, because the SRM 4 cooldown mod with the perks is one of the most "LOL, gtfo" combos I've seen in this game in the 2+ years I've been playing.

Which ones? I'm curious. I could think of a couple useful ones under 20 million.

Yeah before CW I swapped like a mother f***er, kinda like I did with engines at the beginning because it was cheaper, though with CW if you want to be "optimized" you'll want to buy duplicates.

Subtracting what I've earned from what I have now. I've spent 577,034,130 Cbills. I have about 30 mechs, all with their own modules, engines, weapons etc. About to drop another 45 mil or so for the Maddog and its modules when it comes out on the 20th B)

As a rough guess, I've probably spent 50-60M on them, including 12M for two that got deleted somehow (Mechlab glitch, lag accident, I don't know - I just know I had them installed then I didn't - it was well over a year ago). Since I switch mechs a lot and I own 85 mechs (and counting), the cost/benefit just isn't there when it comes to switching them around (boring, and the mechlab interface sucks for rearranging modules) and it's even worse for buying separate modules for every mech (I'd be looking at well over 1 billion, maybe over 2 billion, c-bills to fully outfit just the mechs I already own). In the end I usually just don't use modules at all.

EDIT: That's my main acct. Second account I think I have a cap assist and maybe a seismic, not sure because I don't bother using them either.

Probably about 20 million. I decided long ago to just not bother getting more modules because of the price and just juggle them around.

Damn kinda curious as to how many c-bills I've accumulated through play now, also forgot how expensive Clan Tech is, but the thing that blew my mind was 30 individual mechs with their own modules, hot damn I spent most of my money on weapon modules as opposed to mech modules.

Yeah I kinda wish they had a better user interface, it can be quite the chore finding/relocating modules, but as many wise people have said before me "first world problems".

As I previously stated, a better user interface would be nice, also I think it would encourage people to stick around and accumulate modules if it wasn't such a hassle to move/find them so a win/win in my books.

Well I have over 100 mechs...all outfitted to run minus Engines on about 40%.

I have at least 2 of Every Mech Module (Adv Seismic, Sensor, Etc.)
6 radar derps modules
and a bunch of weapon modules. I counted 28.

If its any idea of how much i spent i had the 1% achievement about 7 weeks BEFORE CW came out. I since then spent ALL that money on Mechs, Modules and Weapons.(about 100 million just to outfit Clan mechs)

But realistically id say about 180-250million cbills on that stuff the rest on mechs and engines.

Look at your stats, go to GAME MODE and see how much money you made in the 3 current modes.

Not counting CW (since it has no stats) i have made a total of

521,807,084 Cbills

I have 7,000,000 left to show for it! lol

But like i said...OVER 100 MECHS!

4x Seismic = 24M
4x Radar Derp = 24M
1x Targ Info = 4M
1x Zoom = 2M
1x Sensor Rng = 2M
1x Gyro = 2M
Total = 58M

I don't have time to locate and add up the weapon mods, but i know I have 1x nearly of every IS/Clan module, except Small Laser, SRM2, and LRM/Gauss Range.

Thanks for the info, I've accumulated over 350 million c-bills, and I have 71 mechs and 10 free mech bays, though I like to buy into those mech packs such as Clan Wave 1&2 and the resistance collection, and a few hero mechs. Also I have 1.5 million to show for my current efforts

I think I'll get some hunchbacks next, seem like a really fun/solid mech at the moment B)

Ps: Yeah I like to swap the engines around too, much cheaper and easier to track than modules, since not having a engine shows a redline across the mech and the words invalid (Though it can be weaponless too)

Yeah I'm the same, minus not having IS/Clan Small laser weapon modules, I personally don't like Lrms/Gauss that much
