Question: Some people in my unit wanted to flip over to IS and play them for awhile. So one of our members created another account to manage the unit so people could flip to it.
Upon creating my wolf unit I set my faction to permanently wolf so people didn't have to worry about it flipping. Now, it appears that every unit member is also set to a permanent contract regardless of what they selected.
Is this working as intended? I thought it was designed so we could have mercs join the unit temporarily and such. This obviously doesn't work if people are forced into whatever I chose.

Mercs don't join your unit, they make their own. It is working as intended.

I'm confused though, why is every single unit member forced into my contract?
Essentially I set myself to permanent as I intend the unit to be permantely wolf, but that doesn't mean I want to force everyone else in my unit to stay wolf if they want to try something new.
Am I missing something; I thought people chose their own loyalty length. Tx for the response btw.

Your unit, your rules.

Again, thank you for the info.
But what I'm confused about is that even if they leave the unit they are stuck on the permanent contract rather than the one they selected.
Is this what is intended or a bug?

Intended. Your unit contract is their unit contract when they join. They can still leave the unit and break the contract.

Ok, but they have to take the c-bill hit when they leave then? I thought leaving was just supposed to cost loyalty points not actual c-bills.

50k per day, times the number of days on contract remaining (for permcons, PGI counts that as 23 days remaining). I *believe* that's what it was when I tested this on a dummy account on day 1 or day 2.

Ah, ok, this is making more sense. Its 23 days on mine as well.
Is that like a standard "fee" people will have to pay to leave my unit then?
