In my observations, it has become clear to me that there are some sneaky Ghost Bears who have entered into Steiner contracts with the hidden agenda of creating instability on Steiner borders with their IS neighbours. Reading the Steiner forums revealed that Steiner had little to no border activity with Marik and an alliance with Davion (interestingly, the only other faction to host CI and MS... coincidence?).

I would like to encourage a dialogue between The FRR and Steiner about creating a non-aggression pact (NAP), so that both of our factions can focus on fighting back the Clans. Yes, we have not been attacking Steiner territory recently. In the beginning it was a free-for-all and I think we can forgive this, given how we can unite against a common enemy.

How, you may ask? Here is a post I made in the Steiner forums, which will give you an understanding of the way I see things unfolding.

Ya I think this needs to be said Karpundir I'm glad you posted it. I was just reading the same thread.
Steiner might be in a sketchy relationship with -MS-.
-MS- is Ghost Bear they are parading as a Merc Company but lets be honest they are Ghost Bears.
They are now just attacking the FRR from the Steiner front.

If Steiner has an agreement with -MS- they have an agreement with Ghost Bear. Its really that simple. If -MS- were really Mercs going for the highest bid they would be fighting for the FRR right now but they will never attack Ghost Bear, or groups Ghost Bear has cease fires with. It is really smart on -MS-'s part but is a pain for us in the FRR.

Our faction leaders need to assemble and figure out the best strategy for this type of issue. I think a mechanic needs to be put into place by PGI that allows Factions to take away or block contracts to disruptive or counter productive Mercs groups if this is ever the case I'm not saying it is.

If Steiner is ok with this type of Alliance we just have to fight back and hit them hard when -MS- leaves.

I love how you assume that "Steiner" has any control over any unit. Believe it or not...any unit can do whatever they feel like with zero repercussions because of the way the game is written...shhhhh...don't say it too loudly!

Sure, come on down and look around.

Although I appreciate your initiative, ad share your opinion in this matter, I would like to encourage you to coordinate further diplomatic initiatives with the Allthing berforehand. There already has been talk of giving you access to the Allthing forums as long as QQ is with the FRR.

You will also recieve a PM from me about this matter shortly, with some thoughts about it I am not compfortable discussing openly.

You realize that by game design there are no faction leaders who can control the actions of anybody who doesn't let them? People are free to fly whatever flag they want, and attack any of that nations enemies as much as they want and there is nothing anybody can do about it. That was by design.

I know they don't... some units play along with the objectives of the faction and others act out their personal agenda. The repercussions ARE none for now... which makes the politics interesting to say the least!

Espionage is rampant... I have seen players TS snooping to get an idea of who is doing what and how many are doing it. :P

Of course, I realize this... the same thing I said above applies where each individual unit chooses how they want to represent a faction. Politics is important and I think it forms a part of CW as much as the battles. Some units will intentionally break alliances, while others will be supportive to their faction by enforcing or creating them.

I'd imagine that, if rewards were implemented for holding planets (like a C-Bill % bonus for units holding it, or a % reduction in mech costs, etc) then they'd be more fiercely and jealously guarded :)

Still "Beta." I'm hoping and assuming PGI will provide some incentive for keeping planets and / or make loyalty bonuses something worthwhile.

I don´t like threats - even foolish and empty ones.

I didn´t receive the memo of an alliance between Steiner and Ghost Bear - I really like MS joining us though, they kick ass.
I meet many Bears defending the Falcons. Thus I don´t believe we are allied to them.

If we were allied to Ghost Bear it would be our duty to crush FRR and Draks.
If we were allied to Ghost Bear it would be their duty not to defend Falcon but to attack FRR and Draks.
This actually might be a good Idea if their goal wasn´t holy Terra.

If your accusations against MS are true they will keep fighting you after leaving Steiner.
If you hit Steiner hard after MS leaves... one more front for both of us... and one more reason to free Tamar.

But why should your accusations be true?

FRR Propaganda is full of lies... they said we are attacking Liao, they said and keep saying we are allied to Wolves... now we are allied to Ghost Bear?
Sons of Loki - your forefathers are turning in their graves in shame, you shall never reach Valhalla. :P

Steiner is fighting the FRR and Kurita

Ghost bear is attacking FRR and Kurita, where pugs defend is a pug thing.

Clan wolf and Steiner spent two weeks not fighting each other but instead both fighting the FRR, Steiner attacked the other IS houses as well, why do Liao worlds now fly Steiner flags if Steiner never attacked liao?

-MS- has only not fought the FRR when they were under a Davion contract, the FRR and Davion do not share a border, -MS- is almost certain to go back to CGB and continue to fight the FRR -shrugs-

It seems appropriate that you would call on the names of Loki and his offspring after your post.
