my 1 LPL, 6 SPL build is soo much fun. I just really can't say I hate this mech. Despite how much I say its not very good, I keep coming back and playing it. The Fast assault is just way to much fun.

Here are the builds I've tried. I have fun with this mech and I think it just needs the right mindset.

Speed can get you in close for the SPLs and the LPL gives you that extra punch. Just circle around the slower assaults and rip up their backs.

BTW I have yet to elite them, most of them are still basic and I look forward to eliting them. They definitely won't be taking CW by storm anytime soon, but it works pretty good in PUGs.

I really really tried to love him. I really did; I always like him in the TT.

Can't do it though right now. He literally has nothing to offer over a timberwolf who is 5 tons lighter. I know that its unfair to compare any mech to that but he literally offers nothing better or unique relative to him.

He really really needs a few perks.

The Gargles makes me sad. It's like a morbidly obese medium mech trapped in the body of an assault mech, begging desperately to be released from its prison.

Even compared to all of the other Clan heavies, and the Stormcrow, the Gargles is simply a very very inefficient use of tonnage. The Nova is roughly break-even.

I do hate it. We don't need people posting on the forums about how they love the Gargoyle. We need people posting on the forums about how the Gargoyle sucks so that it gets buffed. L2Forum.

Not saying its good or even under appreciated, just saying this thing is like my urbanmech, I love it even if its bad. I swear by my builds they work, Yes even that 2 PPC build that looks rather pathetic because the Adder runs that as well.

I've enjoyed the Man O' Wub for what it is, but it's not a great Mech. I use it as a giant clumsy Firestarter, sneaking around behind the enemy so that I can shoot Mechs in the back. The light or medium that catches a fast-moving blip on radar and comes to investigate gets a rude surprise.

It sort of feels like being that dorky big kid on the playground who doesn't realize just how big he is, which is ultimately a good thing because he doesn't have the heart to use his size to his advantage anyway.

You know a mech is bad when smaller mech can put up the same loadout as the one of its variants (Summoner vs Gargoyle-Prime) and do a better job.

Sad days.

I want to love him, but his huge terrain archetype is really killing my buzz.

Agility and speed is really all the poor lad has.....and because of that, he doesn't even really have it.

Gargoyles are one of two Assaults I truly fear in Lights, the other being the AWS-9M for obvious reasons. They move quick, so it's a little harder to just run away when things go wrong. They have Assault Armor, so the chance of a dance miraculously ending in your favor are greatly reduced. They pack enough firepower to end you in one, maybe two hits, and unlike the Victor (what I would consider the most comparable IS Assault), it can do it at range because C-ERML.

It's not a mech to hate, its just a bad version of a oversized and ungergunned Timberwolf, or even SCR. And this for 5 more tons than the tbr.

Its basically a slower, easier to hit StormCrow (granted it can have lots more armor). The problem is that it desperately need more free tonnage, endo steel certainly would help (though only by 4 tons).
