Just out of curiousity, how does MechWarrior perform on dual core CPUs with say... something along the lines of a GTX 750? I remember hearing that even if you had a balling GPU to play MWO, CryEngine 3 is not very nice to dual cores and your frame rate will be terrible even on the lowest settings.

Is that still an issue?

you know what, whichever your configuration, you can only get 40-50fps, 30 on CW at best.

AND yes, quadcore is the minimum for the game to run it

Due to immense potato optimization, which largely ruined the game graphically, and gave everybody not on future science computers poor to very bad performance, MWO is playable on the most ancient of dual cores.

Except CW.

It runs great on a dualcore, if that dualcore is a pentium G3258 on 4.5+ GHz.

Since my laptop is down, i run MWO on an 4 years old intel E8400 @ 3Gh with a 3 years old geforce GTX 570.
All settings are Low for a FPS between 20 and 30 in battle but i can run CW without a real drop in performances.

Essentially this. If it's not a highly clocked intel dual core it's going to perform pretty badly in MWO.

MWO is VERY CPU dependent. I personally know someone that upgraded to a great graphics card, but had a dual-core processor, and he went from about 12 FPS to around 20. The CPU is the most important by far. You should have a quad-core, although I don't want to discourage anyone from trying the game.

Lol, ive got a AMD 455 3core CPU and a 5700 series video card, game runs pretty poor in battle, FPS between 12-30 in actual battles. CW, it never goes a point above 19...

In the Training grounds and hangar I can get 50-90 depending on where I look.....other wise the game runs kinda bad. Ive got everything on low except for details and textures on medium/high.
