Back when Community Warfare started, I was able to get into matches really quickly. Now, I'm responding to the alerts ("so and so needs attackers!") and me and my 2 friends have been sitting here for 20 minutes (cancelled about 3 times, trying to change up the planets since they aren't finding players or something) just sitting there with "PILOT RECEIVING ORDERS."

Am I doing something wrong or are queue times just really long now?

Oh, didn't you hear? Davion lost CW so you have to join another faction.

:D

Ignore the alerts. They do not actually call you to a planet with waiting players. They seem to call you to a planet with no current players.

Check the numbers shown next to the planets and pick from there.

What does that mean? I first was aligned with Clan Wolf (2 weeks) and upon coming back online, I was prompted to choose another faction (the plan for our group was to alternate between Davion and Clan Wolf every 2 weeks) so I chose Davion, literally about 30 minutes ago.

Are you saying I'm locked into a contract with a Faction that will not allow me to participate for 2 weeks unless I disband and suffer the disband penalties?

I'm confused about how it works, because let's say there's a planet with a red sword that lists 26 for the red, presumably attacking side, then 0 for defenders. Sometimes in these cases, it will only allow me to attack? Is there a way I can fill up the 0 side by selecting the defend option, or is it only 1 or the other?

Never go to 60/60 Planets - go to Planets with 11 to 59 Players (all uneven numbers of Players are best), do not go to Planets with multiples of 12.
I often get matches immeditately to 2 minutes - if not i cancel and play PUG or do some other stuff.
Of course you wont do that much CW matches but you will at least play the game, make money and hopefully having some fun doing so.

I was kidding around with you. Take Thorq's advice for finding a match. :)

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is over of the core reasons CW is plain broken. Why in the hell does the OP need to consult the star map to see where to play? Why can't he (and his team) just queue up as a Davion and be fit into the best match for him like in non-CW?!

Design fail.

The red shows the active number of attackers for the planet. Blue shows the active number of defenders. You cannot launch into a game without 12 players. Although only one side (attackers/defenders) need 12 to launch themselves (ghost drops).

Also, if you're trying to fill up the attacking/defending side, that's great. You still need to wait until 12 total players fill it up though to launch.

Because, non-cw is where random matches happen, but CW is were you choose were you wish to contribute?

And that is why CW is starving for players. I'd like to see MWO survive but I believe CW is going to kill it unless something changes.

Right now the most fighting is between Clan Ghost Bear and Rasalhague.
These factions are where the most active players are joining.
Join one or the other for the shortest queues.

Or like me you could just ignore cw altogether as it's so broken it's beyond a joke.

Reason for that scandalous comment: last time i tried playing it four nights on the trot and more hours than i ever should of given it the only win my teams had were one with no enemy. Im boycotting it till i start hearing good things about it.

LOL! So the only way CW will be any good to you is if you can "win all the time"? :) Good luck with that Champ.
