I had good times the first 2 weeks I played this game. Everything ran smooth.

3rd week starts...

Every time I try to play a round now the game crashes to desktop.
Literally every single game. Specs:

MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth z77
CPU: I7-3770k @ 3.9ghz (very mild overclock)
GPU: EVGA 680 Classified 4GB
Ram: 32gbs @ 2133mhz

I generally have Precision X and Precision X server, Core Temp, CPUID, Skype, Norton, AI suite (for the mobo), Logitech gaming software, NVidia Experience for software running in the back round while I Play. I keep them updated with the latest drivers. I have tried closing them all and I still CTD.

I have a second gaming rig that I am experiencing the same issue with that coincidentally started having this problem the same day. EVERY SINGLE MATCH, I CTD right at the start. That rigs Specs:

MOBO: ASUS P8
CPU: i7-2600 @ 3.4ghz
GPU: x2 EVGA 660 ti SLI
Ram: 16gbs @ 2400mhz

I have used the MWO Repair tool 3 times now with the same results. Still Crashing To Desktop.

I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling. If that is the only answer in 2015. PGI has screwed up... No, no. I'm not surprised :P

Anyone got any ideas?

P.S. This website can be slower then molasses at times. Impossible to type this slow.

I've never experienced slowdown with the website itself, and I'm using Chrome (I.E. is known to have problems with this website).

I hope those more knowledgeable than me can help you.

Thanks IraqiWalker. I was not aware of the I.E problems. I can't bring myself to use firefox/chrome/etc. anymore. Just another program and I'm trying to stay on a diet :P

If the website is slow then there is probably something wrong with your computer.
If you use IE then it is probably infested with viruses.

Once a night anymore, at least, I CTD with out being able to get back in until I run the repair tool and find out which of its files the game itself corrupted. Three hours of play in public drops and I finally try for a CW when a saw a unit planet call for defenders when it happened to me. Lesser system specs then you but high enough to run very high everything at good FPS, and its not a heat issue as the temps do not spike more then when I run other games this intensive. Though I do need to do a case blow out soon, part of my normal maintenance.

On your ram speeds, are those OC settings?
Are the GPU OC also?

Trust me there is nothing wrong with my computer. I use Norton 2 times a day to clear viruses, clean my registry, and clear all temp files. I have two 256gb Samsung Pro SSD for my games so there is no need to defragment or optimize. I have no hidden malware, or spyware on my computer. I know what I'm doing, I have been building computers from scratch for 18 years. I have $3000 into this tower and $2400 into my rig at work. Trust me :P

Besides the website is not the problem. The game is the problem.

Ram speeds are stock. Patriot Viper 3 Black Mamba edition 32gbs @ 2133mhz
I have tried stock clocks on my GPU as well as minor OC. 105% Power target, +25 MHz GPU, 1000mv. I have the Classified card which I can run stable at 129% power target, +195 MHz GPU, +750 MHz Memory, 1175 mv on all my other games.

Windows 7 premium 64 bit.

I have tried running the game in both 32bit and 64bit with no change.

I really want to enjoy this game...

I hear ya. This is no way to manage a game. Clearly the CTD is not an isolated issue that they are happily ignoring.

The game does have memory leaks and will die every few hours if played for a long time or shrunken often.

I keep an OSD ram monitor running and when it touches 4GB (64 bit client) it is time to logout and reload otherwise its going to crash on map load soon.
With the ram monitor you see the ram usage climb slightly over time, that's leaks.

Do you still get corruption's after the newest patch?
The newer Windows UAC should be providing some protection now if installed in program files, game client should theoretically only have read access to its own pak files.

It has been the same in fact if not more since patch. Since the game client is the only thing interacting with these files just proves even more it is the game causing the issues.

In fact after closing normally last night I decided to see what happened if I ran the repair tool before I even tried the game today, and look there is Objects.pak corrupted and the computer was shut down from just after I logged out last night until now.

So who else wants to say its the computer causing it when the computer was not even turned on
