(Attention: This thread was created as parody and for pure comic value. The views expressed in this thread do not accurately reflect those held by the author. Seriously, this MarineTech guy is well known to be a few screws short of a box. He pilots a Mad Dog by choice, and that should really say something about his mental state.)

It has occurred to me that at some point, PGI is going to eventually run out of existing mech designs to put into the game. When this occurs, they're going to have to create some new ones.

As it stands, the current crop of mechs all have very imposing 20th Century names. The Thunderbolt, the Dire Wolf, the Shadowhawk, the Firestarter... All very imposing and meant to evoke fear and highlights the martial nature of things in the last century. Even mechs like the Raven have a certain style thanks to mythology and omen. For those that don't find a locust particularly cringe-worthy, just have a chat with the ancient Egyptians.

But we're in the 21st Century now. We're all a much more kinder, gentler, more enlightened, and much more politically correct age. As such, we should name new mechs accordingly.

Seriously, wouldn't you all just love to be the first kids on your block to pilot these beauties:

30 ton Tree Sloth
40 ton Lumpfish
55 ton Slow Loris
70 ton Dairy Cow
80 ton Lhasa Apso
And fear the might of the new 100 ton Cute Fuzzy Bunny Puffs

I think we've got the makings of a new mech pack here folks.

I'm sure you can come up with great ones of your own.

I can't wait to pilot a Nex!

(The name literally means violent death in Latin.)
