Back to Broken again. Now it is telling me to patch after I launch the game. The Repair tool ONLY breaks the game forceing a reinstall.

That's exactly what seems to happen to me now. I ran the repair and it jacked something so everytime I try and launch now it gives me an error. Last night I uninstalled a umpteenth time and am reinstalling now.

It should be noted that I am not installing via the Typical install. I install onto an E: drive instead of the C: drive. So not sure if there is some bug in the patcher that is causing an issue with installs outside of the typical install. PLEASE HELP

Same problem here, had to run the patcher twice to get the game to work. Same as CgMass, I installed to another drive (I: drive in my case). Game was stable until this week.

This sucks. Been trying to get the repair tool to fix the client for 6 hours- 3 total downloads, no luck. Just gave up and submitted a support ticket. Problem has affected both my desktop and laptop installs. Paid way too much money ($ hundreds) into this game for this crap.

This error message just hit me for the first time today. I hadn't noticed the forum topic until after I had run the repair tool. It didn't fix anything. I'm trying a reinstall now.

Tried again this am. No patch message, connected right in on both a laptop and desktop that patch errored last night, yay. Strangely enough, didn't change anything on the desktop or laptop (hardware or software), got an auto-confirm of my support ticket. I'm thinking that there's a server side issue.

Hey everyone,

Apologies for the lack of recent updates on this since the 8th.
I also want to apologize for the sheer amount of frustration this issue is causing.

Getting to the bottom of this and working to get it knocked out for good is currently my top priority.

After I put some much-needed gametime into a PGI group-drop we're running around 4 PST today, I will be working all-in on this issue today and all through the weekend.

Thank you to anyone who has submitted a support ticket with the information previously requested. A number of you are still awaiting replies to those tickets, which will be on their way very soon with further information and case-by-case troubleshooting.

I want to get you all up and running as soon as I can.

Thanks Alexander! Just had it come up again. Was connecting to a match (10-man group queue) when the client crashed (had previously played about 3 or 4 rounds) and got the patch error again - so I couldn't reconnect. This is just killin me.

And on my fourth try - just now, it connected without the patch error. I think it must be just select servers that are causing the issue (a definitely non-expert opinion though)

Yeah, it seems very sporadic. Luckily it only hit me twice, but both of those times it took multiple reinstalls and repairs to get it going again.
Totally frustrating, but these things happen.

I don't even do re-installs anymore. I just quit and retry to connect every few minutes. Eventually I seem to get lucky and don't get the patch message.

Started out just needed to flush my DNS for a few days and it would run... then had to change my DNS... it worked for a day. Then tried the patcher -- that was crap and just messed EVERYTHING up -- did the full reinstall. THANKS FOR TELLING ME TO BACK UP MY USER FILES on wait you didn't and now I get to reset all my settings, redo my cfg file, reset 165 mechs worth of weapons groups and I lost 500+ game pics.

but I got to play for one day...

AND NOW I CANNOT PLAY AGAIN.

at least 3 days of premium time gone, missing the sale which I needed a few more mechs to get them all... AND this will be the first challenge I have missed.

this is *******!!!!!!!! Ran the repair tool twice before just reinstalling yesterday.... now it wont even reinstall properly after it broke again today.

Edit: took 4 reinstalls this time... see how it lasts.

I have tried for longer than it would take to reinstall. I just do that first now.

But I do back up my stuff first. I feel really bad for those who didn't.

Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas..Maybe the Canadians have something against the South (ok - so OK is not really the South, but it is more southern)

Just burning time because I can't get connected DUE TO THIS &^%* PATCH ERROR. Was playing fine just a few minutes ago. Sigh

Oh also when you run the repair tool I get a missing PAK file and won't start too.
