Mobile Mwo Gaming

We are now into 2015.
Here is what I'm thinking, I move around a lot each day and don't really settle behind a computer too often so I miss out on many opportunities to play MWO. I'd like to go mobile with it.
Now I've looked at the Nvidia Shield and it has the stream from PC to Tablet which is cool to me, however I feel as if it would relegate to my home Wifi network that my computer is on and I wouldn't be able to say, go on a trip someplace, connect to a Wifi network and then stream MWO from my PC (I would keep my computer running throughout this process). I see logging onto MWO beforehand and physically going some place as causing the real issue here...
Also, I have no experience with how the Shield features actually work and all the information I read about it on the net doesn't really seem to satisfy my query.
So I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience with the best form of mobile MWO gaming? And no, I'm not shelling out the cash for a gaming-grade laptop to support MWO (or a laptop for that matter, that's SO 2012).
Has the Razer Edge worked out well for anyone?
Thanks.

+ the ability to adjust outr mechs in the mechlab via mobile phone. Or maybe one of those autocalculated minigames where you build a mech challange a friend and he sends another emch and an result is calculated.
we don't reinvent the wheel, we could just take a working reliable concept of a game and put soem emchwarrior over it. would be fun, would be entertaining and probably lures some other people into MWO.
even soemthign simple like that
http://www.kongregat...badim/red-storm
would do it.
or soem simple graphics style a la MC 2

as long as they aren't super greedy it could be fun.

The i7 4710M is a capable mobile CPU, but should be considered the lowest you should go for a decent experience. If you can upgrade to an i7 4810 or better, you will be happier.
The GTX 860M will be a little short on horsepower. I have the GTX 870M and I find it slightly lacking, but decent enough to run mostly high settings (I have the 4710M, so I'm more CPU limited). A GTX 870M, 880M, 965M, 970M, or 980M will all give you a good experience.
The shield route is fine for home, but not so fine otherwise. The Razer Edge... it has a low-power i7 dual-core and a GT 640M DDR3. If you want to play on the lowest settings and not expect solid framerates all the time, then go for it. I personally wouldn't. Not a chance. I got my Gigabyte notebook for less and it's got more than twice the horsepower.

Any opinions of lightest, most mobile laptop under 1000 dollars? Seems like the Edge is a little pricey for what you're actually getting.

we should get Mechwarrior Tactics to be a thing again, and on mobile devices!

thats what I was saying, but I don't think that is what OP meant.
Not at all what OP meant, but it's what most of us really would be happy with on a mobile platform. If I could take my MWO mechs and play a TT game with them on my phone I would be beyond ecstatic. MWT had a ton of potential, it just suffered from using a terrible terrible implementation (Unity). I don't need good graphics for MWT, I just need functionality. If MWO had the resources they could so easily expand to connect the mechbay with a mobile TT game.

I wont say it does not have it's moments of fun but it is like for example destiny only even less story and less gameplay as well. We get no other options in how to play than purely using a mech, no air craft no tanks, no side stories even just having radio chatter of a battle going on in the back ground would have been cool.
Dont tempt them to try making another game using our money again, it didn't work.

if Microsoft wants a battletech game they would probably go to the people who made something like clash of clans, or pik pok.

Implement a mobile-app to move your stuff around the map.
Profit. ;-)

I wonder what the initial investment on PGI's part would have to be for something so risky though... is there even a significant enough of a market to warrant putting resources into creating a MWT mobile game? How much would they charge for it? 4, 5, 6 dollars?

F2P. charge for MC to instantly repair mechs, buy equipment, or for hero mechs.
Fight and win = C-bills.
Mechs/Troops/Tanks damaged in battle take time to repair.

Yu-Gi-Oh is the best mother ****** card game on the planet!
but perhaps they could try something new or some combination of the games. but Mana based games are dumb in my opinion. I prefer yugioh because it doesn't have that nonsense just "You got it? You meet the requirement? then slap that B On the table and lets do it" None of that "well I can only use 2 mana or I can't summon my thing.."
Actually now that I think about it, the Pokemon card game might be better. instead of energy cards you would have missile, energy, and ballistic cards. mechs have their weapons split into catigories with each weapon requiring more or less energy to use. Like an AC20 and PPC costing more than a ac2 and a medium laser. Can attack multiple times as long as you have the energy.
have 3 zones for IS, and 2 for clans for a total of 5 zones. 4 mechs in each zone for IS and 5 For clans.
Lances, and Stars.
