Stormcrow is by far my favorite 'mech in MWO, and I don't get to use it in CW since I'm affiliated with Marik. Got me thinking... How would I pilot my favorite mech for my favorite faction? Build my own

If I had chosen to stack a pair of torso mounted LRM boxes on top, it would probably more closely resemble its' Clan mother. I chose to go without them however, as I don't use Missles on any of my personal SCR variants.

I made a similar design for table top years ago, but it lacked AMS, used standard Large Lasers, and had one less double heat sink, but gained a medium laser and six jump jets due to space constraints (only one free crit left over). Only had 9 tons of armor and used endo though. The chassis aesthetic was somewhat different though, since it was one of two variants on a design with five medium lasers (one of which was rear facing) and an ER PPC. The third variant was an LRM fire support build.

Lorewise not all mechs had a visible cockpit - several (such as the Crab) of them are described as using external cameras and the like to simulate that for the pilot inside.

Obviously surplus parts easily found in the FWL. Cicada (legs), Locust (front half of the torso, and Shadowhawk (arms and engine). My only critique is the legs seem a little small. Good on a Cicada, but to support 10 extra tons they need larger actuators. Shouldn't need too much bulk. I very much like the makeshift Frankenmech nature of the aesthetic.
