What is the actual video card?

I have the same issue. Most I get is maybe 25fps. Was told by a friend a new graphics card would help and increased memory. I currently have an Nvidia GTX 520 and have been looking for a new one a few months now. Bought the 520 so I could participate in Beta a few years back.

I think you have only integrated video system. Buy stand-alone video card.

The actual video card name, and model would help a lot.

Also, lower your graphics settings in the game. Even on the lowest settings, the game is still good looking.

GT 520 is low-end chipset. With it you can not play 3D at high frame rate.

You're only skirting by most of the minimum system specs. you will have to lower the game settings (turn everything down), lower the resolution (just because you may/may not have an HD monitor doesn't mean your PC can push out resolution fast enough)

Check out the system requirements lab, a 3rd party service which will compare your system to a game's minimum or reccomended specs, and tell you which item isn't powerful enough for a game http://www.systemreq...temId=11548&p=r

His PC looks similar to this http://www.newegg.ca...N82E16883227510

If that's the PC he bought, the GPU does not meet the minimum specs to run MWO. He might have something else but overall the system may not meet the system requirements.

Goggleing that model number, is this your PC?
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16883227510
if it is you have an GTX 610 GPU, this is inadequate for MWO, also the processor and RAM are barely sufficient.

at minimum you will want to put in a better Graphics card preferably also more RAM, and possibly a better Processor and a Solid State Drive as well (about a year ago more RAM and an SSD massively increased the performance of my PC based on a 4 year old Phenom ii x6 CPU)
.
for the graphics card something like this should be adequate:
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16814500327
benchmarks say it is slightly better then the 560 I use and get 30+ FPS at high settings (admittedly with a better CPU, more RAM and an SSD)

as for RAM, at current you are sharing your 4GB with the graphics card, even with a dedicated graphics card you should see an improvement with more RAM, if you decide to do this you will want something like this:
http://www.newegg.co...N82E16820231644
bear in mind at minimum you want the same speed and capacity as your current stick of RAM, 2 identical sticks of RAM would be good if you can get them.

for an SSD anything 200GB or better added an a second drive, then just install games to it should help, a fresh install (or disk clone) of Windows to the SSD would be better.

the AMD FX processors are not that good for MWO, even the top end FX8 series are outperformed by the 4 year old Phenom ii chips like I am using, however pretty much any FX6 (6 core) or FX8 (8 core) series CPU should be a lot better than the FX4 you are using,
in the spoiler is why
Spoiler

sorry it is not cheaper news but I hope this helps

edit: if you want to ask support for help send an email to:
support@mwomercs.com
they are usualy helpful but they may take a while to get back to you due to a backlog caused by the christmas/new year break

I find that odd as I have a dual core 3.0ghz PC. My vc is a GeForce GTX 550 Ti which I don't believe was high end when it came out. While I don't have high FPS, I can play well enough if people keep their flamers out of my face :P

you have a 550, that is a lower mid range graphics card, Frostbite2314 has a 610, that is a bottom of the range integrated graphics chip sharing the system RAM, and the design of the FX chips is also a disadvantage for MWO as far as MWO is concerned the FX4 series may as well be dual core. the MHz/GHz rating has been less important than the architecture since at least the early 2000s (the AMD Athalon 64 vs Intel Pentium 4 days saw Athalon 64s frequently outperforming Pentium 4 chips with double the MHz, since releasing the Core 2 Duo Intel has had the advantage in performance but AMD usually has much lower price for the same performance)
