Hey guys, I was wondering what Gold clan mech package to buy, as I have bought the Daishi pack and would like to upgrade. Which mech should I get; The StormCrow, Dire Wolf, WarHawk, or the Summoner? Also: would I still have to pay the full $500 for the package, or would I pay $380 because I have ordered the Daishi pack?

Stormcrow and Timberwolf are obviously good choices, as they're two of the best 'Mechs in their weight class. You never know, though, they might get hit with the nerf hammer a little bit.

Whichever you like best, doesn't really matter. If you're really looking to look pimped out, though? Get the Kitfox or Adder pack. I'd love to have a golden Adder.

Contact support to get it done, but it'd be 380.

I'd love to see a gold Summoner, but to be perfectly honest if you get a gold mech it should be one you can do very well in.

The Stormcrow, for many reasons, is a fantastic medium mech workhorse that can handle lights, mediums, assaults and even do fairly well against heavies.

The Dire Wolf is slow, but very symbolic for command. If you do well with it, by all means. If you don't, then you probably should not get a gold Dire Wolf.

Of every single Clan mech -- and I mean every single Clan mech as I have them all -- my favorite is the Warhawk. Whether I'm replicating a fast King Crab or being a command and support mech.

Well you'll have all of the wave mechs, so it's not a matter of which to own since you'll own all of them.

I think which one you want as a Gold variant would really come down to whichever you like most or will play the most.

Hmm, so here's what I'm thinking of getting: Either The Summoner, or the Stormcrow. thoughts on those two?

Honestly for the price gold mechs arn't worth it your essentially just paying for an extra prime with a shiny paintjob on it that a lot of people will specifically target you for

The gold varrient is the same as the invasion bought prime that it gives you a %30 cbill bonus and has an exclusive design scheme that can't be removed

If your deadset having one I would wait and pick which clan mech is your absolute favorite that's still available then get the gold version of that

isn't there one you do great in, in particular?

nerf n balance this or that
Timberwolf was strong before nerf
its still strong
they wont take away clan XL, smaller double heatsinks, the hardpoints, etc.

also remember that the gold variant is the primary one

buy the one that you do well in and have fun in the most (well if it happens to be the timber )

As for the one I've done my best in... heh, that'd be the Summoner. I've spent over 2 days on it after the first two months of buying the Clan pack Daishi. (That's scary, because now it's 4 lol)

Silver's a good idea. Maybe for Solaris games if they ever came out: 3rd is bronze paint job for your mech, 2nd silver, 1st gold.
