I see less players doing CW every night and I think it's mostly because of the long wait times.

What I think might help is to remove the 20 minute wait on free drops, but make it so you have to drop the same tile 5 times before it will flip. If you get another team to fight it should still flip on one successful attack/defense.

This would slow down the free turret drops flipping the planets without penalizing everyone else with long wait times.

Long wait times is one of the many problems with CW.

Tomorrow is a patch to alleviate this. 3 attack windows allowing for multiple planet flips a day also faction groups in addition to public and unit groups,

these faction groups will allow us davions to group up in CW regardless of unit, allowing more men to be deployed where they are needed.

One scenario. Two Maps. Played it for like 8 years on TT. Just as boring here. A new Scenario and MAPS would help. also add the scenario to the present map if possible for more diversity.

I wish CW was more like the intro to Mechwarrior 3. Taking out the orbital guns first is fine, but you should only have to do that once. After that it should progress to different objectives using a new map for each one. If it actually seemed more like we were conquering a planet, instead of just doing the first step over and over, CW would be more fun.

Long wait times are the only reason I stopped playing CW. Other than the long wait times I love the mode. I am just waiting for wait time fixes. Perhaps the patch today will begin to solve this.

Long waits and being a solo player have kept me out of clan war (got rank 4 with 2 factions first).

Long wait times is cause your not in a unit. Should be in a unit if you want it faster. Also population of your faction and your surrounding factions plus if you have a clan front or not. Are all important factors to your wait times. If your in the clans then your times are usually pretty dang fast. Compared to when i swapped to davions. It was only in davions that i experianced the free flops the mode gives u after centuries of waiting. In clan wolf it was only a long wait but you always got enemys.

I think they should make it that CW pulls players automatically from solo queing pugs just to fill those spots up. That way people would play it if they arent practicing or playing with buddies. That way it shortens the lobby times in CW while giving some players imprompt to chances to play it without waiting at all

A city assault like in MW3 would be bad ass.

I wasn't referring to the cinematic intro to MW3. What I meant was the first part of the game where they show you those satellite images and go over the invasion plan area by area. I think CW should be more like that. Something like starting out taking out the guns so more drop ships can land (the mission we have now), then capturing a supply base, taking over a city, destroying a mech factory, ect.

Hopefully what we have now is just the first part of what will become more involved and immersive gameplay later

long wait times because not many playing, but why should they when Russ says Pugs shouldn't play CW in the latest in house ngng chat thing

I think it's because 1. normal games are faster. 2. normal games earn you more cbills. 3. CW play is repetitive after a while. 4. The recent challenges have been easier to complete if you play normal games.

CW population was only high the first week because there was a CW centric challenge.
