I'm a little more demanding I guess. Once that mech is out of ammo, he dang well better not his to protect his epeen. He has armor. Go be a shield for your dang teammates.

They always end up being slow Assaults...they are better equipped to be salvage collectors because they always trailing behind the fight :D

There's something you can do, right now, without any nerfs or anything, to stop people lrm boating.

Get in a light mech. Probably need a 30+ tonner but the ecm spider also does the job nicely. Then play like a light. Scout. Increase battlefield awareness for your team.

Then if you see the tell tale cloud of missiles launching from somewhere behind enemy lines, sneak over there and shoot the lrm boat in the back.

As an added perk lights are often below %20 so you'll get plenty of opportunities to practice the art of light. :D

That might work against bad boaters, but anyone else is going to have a team mate or two close buy to kill or chase you off.

Define "slow" for these purposes. My preferred LRM boat is a ALRM50 BLR-1S with a 340XL. When the missiles run dry I don't have an issue mixing things up in close with 4xML. Hell, I open with that mech in CW, once the missiles are dry I get right up into the enemy's face. Getting a little extra damage in before I swap to the next mech is generally the way to go.

54km/h Leviathans is what I see in PuGs. I can't wait until I can live in CW...but alas, my crisp laptop with 10 and below FPS ain't gonna cut it. Waiting for tax refunds to build a new one.

Never used tag or narc on my lrm boat .

Advanced target decay .
BAP
artemis

Rarely run into problems

Narc gets to weighty

And tag is a huge look everyone were over here.

Nope

Do fine without both.

I like my LRM boat KTO! It's effective when you are the only LRM mech.

And yet another LRMhator fest thread. Is there a convention in town or virus going around spawning this sickness?

Unfortunately I hate the LRM boats on my own team the most, and due to the TOS I am not allowed to core their backs out.

For every 1 guy on the forums saying "you just need to use them right" or "I'm supporting the team" or "they take as much skill as X", there are like 100 players in the actual game who suck bad, and want to hide as far from the fighting as possible and LRMs beyond all other weapons feed into this warped mentality the most.

The worst offenders are in Assault mechs, watching the entire fight take shape around them - unwilling to scratch their paintjob in favor of hoping their team will win the match for them while they farm assists and damage.

I want those guys to be on the other team, so the other team is down a few real assault mechs.

Wow... you need to find another game. MWO is not for you.

My thought on it is that the more people Lurm farm and just run cheese teams of lurms and tags, the more chance it will be nerfed. When that happens more griping will occur. We will lose our good lrm pilots and once again end up with a swarm of the next fanboy fav like erppc or gauss, which I also am starting to see more of. If you are in a unit or run with any groups and see this, try to correct it. We don't need any more nerfing or adjusting on weps. They are horrible enough as it is.

Though it is hilarious to watch almost an entire team dump ammo on targets well out of range, or hiding in cover. Waste away people!

....not when they are all on your team.

Just had one of those, like 6-7 LRM mechs and not a single one moved until they got zerged or ran out of ammo.

I can see why people that want to hide in the back and not get their paint scratched would be afraid to use tag....

Totally unrelated, I thought you uninstalled, Flaming? :)
