After i log out, the next day when i try to open MWO i have to patch an hour's worth of patches. It appears that certain portions of the game are being lost after i log out. Any ideas?

It's a recent bug that's been appearing, putting you in a patch loop. Run the repair tool a couple times or try a fresh re-install.
